Man, I wish I could live outside of town...

    Some more from me!

It was pissing down here in Edinburgh today:
    Pissing Down

Found this in Prague... What kind of a person would do this?!
Considering doing the same in certain parts of Edinburgh, actually.
    Poo Spray

The big clock... face... bell... thing in Prague. I didn't stay around there for too long... Pickpocket central, I would bet.

@Magnulus-- The only time I was ever in Prague, I was seven years old, and that clock tower is my clearest memory (besides not wanting to climb up some tower because I was afraid of heights and clinging to the wall at the bottom crying... er...)

Okay so my little point and shoot doesn't have super nice pictures, but this is my outside world at present:

View from the roof of the studio building where I'm studying right now.

Siena, from the top of a REALLY REALLY REALLY tall tower. That only has narrow stairs. I overcame my Prague fears (I've had a few years between then and now to recover) and made it all the way to the top.

@dorkmuffin I LOVE that view! I've always been a fan of roof views.
I loved it so much I felt compelled to run your pic through some Photoshop editing to give it more of a punch. It's not a huge difference. I really hope you don't mind.
(I saved it in a pretty high quality setting, so you can download and use as you please... If it pleases you, that is. If you hate me now, sorry.)

For the muffin that is a dork

How I envy you! I once made a very quick trip across Italy a few years ago (one week to see Rome, Venice, Florence and I don't know what else) I spent one morning in Siena but couldn't climb that tower because we hadn't time. If you like towers, go to Venice and climb the one on St. Marcus plaza. Really beautiful view:

    Florence by day

    And night

Despite I took a lot of photos, these are the few ones I'm really like to show.

Edit because I can't spell the city names...

Ramslök (Ramsons) for as long as you can see in all directions, wish I could upload the scent =P

@Draug: This makes me want to visit Sweden all the more. Beautiful. I should try to find out which region my great-grandparents were from...

@dorkmuffin: Way cool! I never managed to climb the tower in Siena but I have climbed Brunellesci's Dome. Did you enjoy the Ducchio in the Museo de Duomo? (I think I got that right...)

@ Dorkmuffin - I'm so jealous of your view. I love rooftops.

My new backyard in West Sussex

    Field next to the house

I know, my camera isn't that spiffy. And not sure how to edit them so it looks like I have a good camera.

I like the tall grass one too. The field is just outside my window. Going to head out there in a few to snap some more. The light is making it all glow right now.

    @ Mister86--

I totally half grew up in New Hampshire. We were more Squam Lakeish people (we lived a little closer to there than to Winnepesaukee) and if you have a chance to get up there, do. It is breathtakingly gorgeous.

@ trini_naenae, Yeah, Duccio was badass. We got over to Arezzo and Sansepolcro last week to see a ton of Piero della Francesca, too. No Venice for me though. Florence on Friday, however. YES!

@ Magnulus. No hate. Only love.

I love the Squam region. I used to routinely donate/visit the Squam Lake Regional Science Center. I still get up there on nice days during the summer. It's a fantastic walk.

@pi8you : IIRC, The Porsche hulk is an original body for an early racing model. The point at that part was to get the body as light as possible. This one was 130kg (I think - could have been pounds) which was several magnitudes lighter than the competition. there's a photo on the wall of identical bodies being carried about a couple of staff, and in one picture one very strong guy with it above his head.

    @ Magnulus

I really hope to dash some turds with spray-paint one day. Really.

@ trini_naenae No it's not to shabby in my simple opinion. A good bet would be that they come from somewhere around Småland
  5.  (5738.178)
@Draug: I've heard of Småland (a roommate of mine was from Sweden) but according to my dad, his mother's father was from Skovde, Vastergotland and part of my maternal and all of my paternal grandfathers' family was from Boda. Anyway, loving your photos.
    • CommentTimeJun 16th 2009
@ trini_naenae Well there you have it in the background Skövde
You don't got anything more then Boda? There are lots of them around there are even a few over in Finland.
  6.  (5738.180)
@Draug: Not a clue, sorry. My mom said that the Boda her great-grandparents were from made crystal or glass? That looks really pretty.
