Snaked #2 IDW Death Dealer #6 of 6 WEIRD TALES MAGAZINE #347 STUDENTS FOR A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY GN MARVEL MASTERWORKS GOLDEN AGE DARING MYSTERY HC VOL 1 AWAKENING #2 (OF 10) (MR)
I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
I don't Know about Ennis' plans but his Dan Dare is quite good, this is the first time Erskine looks so good. Army@love is one of my top list, and Faker is the first time in a while mr Carey interest me!
PETE THE PO'D POSTALWORKER? i am pretty sure i have an issue of this from a quarter bin and never thought the concept would surface again...awesomely ridiculous.
also, i am glad that faker is over so that i can read the fucker finally.
Millarworld seems convinced the book is done with issue 10, but I can't find a link to back that up myself.
Its a hell of a book, and if you like capes at all, Fraction and Kitson are producing one of the best new team books in ages. Damn shame if its done already, and I would recommend (again if you like superheroes at all) you look while you can, and if its not canceled, pick it up and help it remain so.
Edit: because not mentioning Kitson was dumb. And the source seems to be buried here at the bottom.
Edit (Tuesday): Confirmed by Fraction this morning. Shame, but on to his other projects for both him as writer and us as readers.
I've really been enjoying the Order, I like the way each story is framed with an interview with one of the characters. Lots of people on scans_daily seem to hate it, saying it's just a bunch of pretty people playing superhero, but they're missing the point somewhat. Hope it doesn't get cancelled.
BLUE BEETLE #23 TEEN TITANS #55 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #548 ASTONISHING X-MEN #24 ORDER #7 ULTIMATE IRON MAN II #2 (OF 4) ULTIMATES 3 #2 (OF 5) X-MEN #207 YOUNG AVENGERS PRESENTS #1 (OF 6)
Excited for AXM and Messiah Complex's endings. Still buying Ultimates 3 cause my LCBS only lets me cancel books three months in advance, which means I would have gotten #1-3, and at this rate I'd rather get the whole pile of dung so I can at least resell it on eBay or something. Oh, and I like BND. And not only because it's one way to get my girlfriend to read comics. (Don't talk about USM, it's almost more convoluted than the first 500 issues of ASM).
I feel like an outsider, buying so many "mainstream" comics. Do you guys still love me?
fucking the order is cancelled? ballsacks. fraction is the writer whose books i look forward to most each week...now they BETTER give him that young xmen book to fill my void.

order is cool, but not that cool. it sounds too much like xforce/x statix by milligan without the big mouth and the cool retro pictures. Fraction is way more interesting in Casanova, here you can feel his craziness, his will to write something creative and totally new. and he has the perfect artists to match his fabulous mind. order? initiative superguys book, a little better than the average books on the shelf, but what the hell, I'm not that impressed.
casanova is simply my favorite thing published in the past few years. so good, i study it (not to steal the form, but just to see the flow of crazy and the layers of seeming chaos that all make sense). seriously.
a book i grabbed today called JOHNNY HIRO: half asian, all hero #3 publisged by adhouse was pretty cool.a nice mix of the mildly depressing slice of life comics and 47 samurai disrupting an opera dress rehearsal. i want to find the first two now.
casanova is simply my favorite thing published in the past few years.
I'm in a wierd time warp thing because I didn't read comics for almost a decade and I pretty much only buy trades (so I don't know what came out when)... but Matt on Casanova is one of the books that makes me feel like, I dunno, I'd say not very good but that's not right - it's more like I'm not playing the game the way it's suppossed to be played.

I've just bought my comics this afternoon, but yeah I've got my wonderful Dan Dare copy with his wonderful Brendan McCarthy cover. I love this guy. I've just read Speak of the Devil, and it's great, Beto rules.
