Loved it completely. Loved the chikkenz-love, and the Quincy - ah, takes me back to being a student. I fucking loved Quincy too, though maybe not *quite* as passionately. My week has been a bit stressy but then it's my birthday next Tuesday and I have to make my tip home fit for about 20 people to come over next weekend for a barbecue-party thingumajig. Wish me sunshine, people. (and help from some kind of housework god).
Arkady and chikkinz. Bound to end in tears. Can't shoot at them, can't eat them, can't take their eggs, can't kick them off the sidewalk . . . or you risk being psychokinetically shoved out a window or worse.
Fun episode! "He can't get any deader"..... until Kait tries to bring him back to life! I'm sad to say I've never even heard of Quincy, but now I shall promptly look it up.
I'm getting ready for a long drive to Toronto this afternoon for the Toronto Comic Arts Festival. I was going to dress up as KK, but I am missing a few vital parts (the two tubes, and the FA emblem- my stencil broke and there's no time to make a new one), so I will just be going as myself. I'm also going to try to catch the Kid Koala show while I'm there (hope I get there on time).
How is your morning so far, everybody? Awesome field bag, though I do like the original colour. I can't wait to get my map bag and mug :)
Loved it! My favourite episode for a while. So glad the chikkinz didn't get shot up. Kait does seem edgy. Is there coffee in post-apocalypse whitechapel, or does she manage that level of tension naturally? Though I suppose two flapping feathery demons materialising suddenly out of thin air might do that to you.
BTW, can Chikkinz actually fly? Or do they just flap around in the air for a bit? Didn't this debate occupy the letters and editorial section of Melody Maker for several years in the mid-nineties?
Much love for Quincy. Dunno if it'd be reciprocated though. I remember an episode where he took on the hippy freaks of the late 60s counterculture. He wasn't keen on em.
I saw Diamanda Galas live last weekend!!! Amazing. Idiots who just bought tickets cos it was reccomended in the arts festival brochure, without knowing what they were in for, were leaving in droves with hands over their ears. Ha!
Hey, warn Warren, I'm gonna be stalking the streets of Southend next weekend! It's my girlfriend's 40th- she went to art college there and feels the need to revisit old haunts every so often. A nicely scuzzy little town though, and pleasantly unpretentious compared to down here in Brighton.
@all - wow, thanks for the massive support on these bags. Sold out a product AGAIN, all the black field bags are gone. Guess we are just making them too limited! But we really do appreciate your support, it allows us to experiment with other cool merch in the future.
@ William Christensen - your bag is awesome. I wish I could afford your bag. I'd crawl through seven shades of shit for your bag. Bet you don't hear THAT everyday! Never mind the rayguns!
@ everyone who doesn't know Quincy (obviously, no one doesn't love him and his twelve inch penis) - LEARN.
I'm suprised you ended a page with Kait blindly firing her gun. I expected to see Arkady clutching a wound in her gut or something. I'm glad I didn't see it, mind, but I did think it was coming.
And chikkinz. Goddamn it, I'm going to be spelling it like that, because anytime I think about this now: [picture of chicken] I will be internally screaming, "chickkinz!!!"
I already loved Arkaday, but now with the chikkenz she just terminally rocks! And totally right MrMonk, we need a chikkenz t-shirt. No chance of child sizes too? my daughter just got 4 week old chicks :-)
