Back on The Engine, we used to have a regular thread where artists showed off the covers they were working on. Those threads were both fun and instructional. I know we still have a few comics artists floating around here.
Show us the covers you're working on or have just finished?
This is NOT: for people who are not artists to just post the covers they like. for writers to post covers to their comics for people who don't work in comics
I have been benign of late, but I will excise posts that don't meet the fairly simple criteria.
I recently finished my first solo self-published mini-comic, Karaoke Comics #1. Some semi-autobiographical material, and generally an anthology with comic vignettes or adventures all about karaoke. They say write and draw what you love, right?
This is the cover of a free fanzine we published for the comics fair in bilgi university, Istanbul. it was this past weekend and I did the damned cover just the night before, xeroxed the issue in the morning and handed to the organiser students by the noon. success!
It's been a while since I've posted on White Chapel, but that's mostly because I've been cramming to get the second volume finished of my limited OGN series, Labor Days, with Oni Press.
The cover was just wrapped up and is being dressed up for solicitations and I'm glad to share it here. The final file with title, credits and designy goodness is still in the works, so here's the art only. Pencils, inks and layout by myself. Color by my friend Kathryn DeFeo.
Cover for 'Ninja', a graphic novel I illustrated for Rubicon Publishing, written by Yang-Yi Goh. Finally released, but sold directly to the educational market and so it won't be seen in comic shops. A fun 40 pages, geared towards middle school aged kids.
