You do a webcomic? Tell me about it here. Not more than one or two images, please, or else the thread takes forever to load. Don't forget the bloody link.

Relax. There are only 6200 members of Whitechapel, plus god knows how many drop-ins who aren't registered members. Only around 2500 people per day visit Whitechapel on average. Except when it's busy, or when I run links from warrenellis.com and Bad Signal.

And they all want to read webcomics.

NOTE: this is not for people to list their favourite webcomics. We've done that before. Boring.

Hi, my real name is David Wynne*, and I do a three-times-a-week webcomic called MINDHACK. It's a sci-fi/crime thriller type of thing, about a guy who shoots up crazy drugs that let him read people's minds, in between downing bottles of whiskey and drunk-driving a flying car. I suspect it may be right up the alley of many people here.

I write a webcomic called Roninspoon Theater, illustrated by the Fillbach Brothers. Normally we do three pages a week, but we've been on a bit of a hiatus lately so they can focus on their money paying work drawing the Clone Wars comics, and Werewolves on the Moon: Versus Vampires. It's hard to ask such nice guys to put aside paying work for something that doesn't make any money. With any luck we'll be back up in the full swing of things pretty soon.

The comic is an anthology, that covers a variety of story themes and genres from satire, to science fiction, to war stories.

Thanks to White Chapel and Freakangels, every so often someone from here checks out our webcomic FLYING GLORY AND THE HOUNDS OF GLORY.

We've just posted the first page of our eleventh issue.
We've been doing this for nearly nine years now.

Bits and pieces...

When I first got some comic software I did one call 'Altered' which used characters from the old game - Altered Beast
Then I had a go at a full length one called 'Alone' which was fun, but I felt was missing something.
I started one call 'Chrysopeia' which died with my computer - I now back up my work all the time!
I had a gag strip call 'Dine In Heck' which I may re-invent as I have ideas...
I am currently waiting for the art for a short story called 'King Of The Hill' and I have just got some amazing concepts from a friend of a friend for a series called GM Devils!
I'll be watching this thread with interest though...

Hello! I do Last Res0rt, a cyberpunk webcomic about a girl who discovers she's a vampire... AFTER she's already signed up for a deadly reality show.

There's plenty of criminals, robotic limbs, furry aliens, things with wings, and a ton of art evolution involved on top of this.

Man, there are already a lot of good looking comics in this thread. Bookmarked for future reference, for sure.

Anyways, I do a comic called Made Up. It updates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Quick Synopsis: Walter, once a creative and imaginative child has been broken by the system of school and work and now is a dull office drone. Since moving away from his friends and family, has made no new friends and has lost touch with his old ones. One night his solitary existence is broken up by the return of his childhood imaginary friend, Mr. Dusty.

You people are doing some amazing work. Andre, Pitch Black is hilarious. I love the simplicity.

I launched a weekly webcomic about a month ago called The Utopian. On the outset, it appears to be about an emo-ish high school senior frustrated with the popularity contests and hypocrisy surrounding him in his nondescript suburban American high school. But unexpected events are going to turn things around pretty soon.

Would love it if you folks wanted to, you know, head to the first page and get engaged. Nifty things are coming soon, including the usual violence, attempted rape, hate crimes, dementia and, you know, otherworldly beings. I update two to four pages every Wednesday. Come along. And thanks.

I draw one comic and co-write a different one. Because I'm schizoid that way.

The one I draw is ODYSSEUS THE REBEL, which is written by Steven Grant. Yes, the obvious one. This is a serialized graphic novel, and is presently about 3/4 of the way through it's story. We will print-publish it this fall. Here's a page, in which Odysseus hesitates to accept a generous offer from the Scherian fisherman for a ride home:

Hello. I'm Cameron Stewart, I've done a lot of work for DC and Marvel, most recently Seaguy with Grant Morrison, but for the last year and a half I've been writing and drawing my own webcomic called "SIn Titulo" . It's a semi-autobiographical neo-noir mystery thriller, heavily influenced by David Lynch and the tv series "Lost."

It's also available in French.

Josh Hechinger and me are still doing Yon Kuma, a comic about a kid that wrestles bears.

Bomb Queen's Jimmie Robinson on Yon Kuma:

Superfun-fact: the look of the older character in the second image, Is based partially on a Warren Ellis picture from an old Wizard interview, where he looks like a deranged man with some pencils in his hand, I haven't seen that picture in years, and the internets seems to not know the picture i'm talking about. I remember reading that Warren hated that picture.

Hi, I'm Nick and I too do a webcomic. Mine is about small woolly hats on simplistic MS Paint backgrounds, having very small adventures. It's called Behatted and can be located at http://www.behatted.com. The art is pretty special (and not in the positive context), as I basically can't draw at all, but I felt like telling a story and happened to have a pile of small hats nearby. It's got a fairly metronomic webcomic-esque rhythm of punchlines, but there's a (quite slow-paced) story in there too about hat-detectives investigating a kindapping.

She is high school age and "unschools" -- she dropped out to focus on her professional artistic/design pursuits. This is sort of a history project for her. I find it great fun doing the website and lettering for her.

Here, two of the main characters, unwittingly trapped in the wax-paper memories of a dead enemy, remember why they killed him in the first place: he really was very annoying.

And here's an older page--the art isn't quite so good--demonstrating why some people just shouldn't be trusted with high-powered rifles.

Broken Space should wrap up by the end of this month, actually, after 8 issues and about three years of updates. Then I'll be starting a new comic, a fantasy epic called Water Phoenix King.

Some really great stuff on this thread so far. @Cameron Stewart, I'm really looking forward to having some time to check out that comic. Looks fantastic.

Here's mine. Milo The Cloud It updates on Mondays and Thursdays. Sometimes that means Monday and Thursday at 11:59 pm because life happens. I'm also currently making a batch of Milo toys. Pouring the plastic myself, from home made molds of a sculpture I did about a year ago. I just bought a couple gallons of plastic, so I'll be making the biggest batch I've ever made sometime this week or next, and hopefully I'll have them up for sale in about a month (gotta get the packaging done too).

Hello, all. My name is Brandon Jerwa, and I'd like to tell you about WIDE AWAKE.

WIDE AWAKE is a new weekly webcomic co-written by Eric Trautmann (Checkmate, Perfect Dark Zero, Final Crisis: Resist) and Brandon Jerwa (Battlestar Galactica, Highlander, G.I. Joe), with art by Mirco Pierfederici (Doctor Who, Star Trek Alien Spotlight). David Messina (Star Trek: Countdown, Angel) will serve as art director for the series and coordinate the spectacular covers for each chapter (like the one seen below!)

WIDE AWAKE is the story of Amanda Carter, a young woman who can pass into the realm of dreams in her sleep. She encounters terrible, hungry creatures in the Dreamspace...and if she doesn't defeat them before she wakes up, they get loose in our world.

The first glimpse of “Wide Awake” — a short story called “Behind the Wall of Sleep,” — can be found in the Image Comics anthology POPGUN VOLUME TWO, which is available now. It's sort of a proof-of-concept piece in relation to what we're doing with the webcomic itself. Our series begins its weekly run in late June, but we currently have a "chapter zero" up on the website - a special sneak peek that we released in time for this year's Free Comic Book Day.

We’re currently planning to present the story in an uninterrupted weekly format, with a new six-page chapter every Friday. And yes, we chose that format because we enjoyed it so much while reading FREAKANGELS.

This is art for art's sake - we have no publisher backing us, no safety net and no income stream of any kind. We've committed ourselves to a good long run on the series, and we hope you'll join us.

The hot chicks with the swords and the guns? They're a kill team; combined wetwork squads from the Catholic Inquisition and the English Witchfinders.
He's looking for the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismestigus.
She's looking to take ships, kicks ass, and party.
They want van Ritter staked, beheaded, and burnt. That can occur in any order.
Oh, and van Ritter's crew? Ritually scarified Mayans high on hallucinogenic toad.

Hi. My name is Widgett Walls and...forgive me..but I *can't draw*. Every so often I try and it makes me even more depressed than you would be, looking at the scribblings of a guy who *can't draw* since you folks in this thread definitely can.

But I recognize my limitation and have decided to poke it in the eye by getting permission from the Strip Generator folks to use their tools to create my webcomic, Something Odd. I do it whenever I'm not having to, you know, trade in bits of my sanity to my day job in exchange for Showbiz Pizza tickets that I will one day exchange for a spider ring.

It concerns the adventures of three roommates: Sig, Orvil the talking pig, and a floating disembodied eye named Eye. Other recurring characters include Satan, Steve the cactus pimp and a very small ninja. It also features a great deal of alcohol and swearing.

Wow, some really neat-looking comics in here. Nice to see Bad Gods in here, too! I've been quite enjoying all the 'ball-of-mucus' wit.

I don't actually draw worth a lick (at least, not by hand -- I tried to do motion lines that way once and couldn't even pull *that* off) but I am a trained cinematographer and I do a rudimentarily (so far) photoshopped comic called Hypothesis, the point of which is to tell my story of a time walker landed from another world, in another timeline. I am stranded without my memories, but I have also discovered (I think) my potentially planet-saving purpose, the earliest signs of which are encoded throughout my debut print 'issue' (made up of the first three webcomic episodes). And you may not think it in my case, since there is no drawing, but this 'comic book medium' as you all call it (on my world we just call it 'writing') is actually quite a slog to produce with present-day tech! Judging from past experience, sometime this summer, all of the pages from issue #2 will start to come in a flurry of weekly updates, in prep for Toronto's Fan Expo 2009, and then it will likely be a few months again before issue #3.

If you find the above a little weird and are looking for a more to-the-point genre-algebra type of summary, how about... The Silver Surfer enters a schizoid relationship with a slice-of-life Canadian Splendor, in a first issue origin story that begins in a low-rent visual homage to Transmetropolitan, and then if you take all that and throw it away, what remains is the *really* weird. Classic '80s-era gaming is involved. And brainy sluts are mentioned, but not (yet?) pictured. Oh! I think briefly about zombies at one point. Good enough?

Zombie Years takes place in a near future Miami Florida, where the sky has fallen, the Gods have fought, Jesus Wept, and the snake has eaten his tail. Humanity if a bug on the windshield, and the sky is wearing down the cities.

The world has ended, but you still gotta eat.

The survivors of the horror now try to get along, the daily struggle to survive is the routine and the rule, and everyone watches for the The Fever: a maddening virus that drives people insane, eventually dying from it ….and then coming back.

Live Ones: The one possessed by disease which is maked by reddish skin and eyes, erratic movement, and violent behavior

Rotter: a victim who has died and come back, now slow and jerky they tend to be slow but endlessly track the living in some innate way.

Uglies: mutated to an extreme, no two are alike, and they are deadliest of the Zombies.

Meet Frank Nuñez, a survivor; relatively young he’s now worked out his life in this new world. He’s been able to eek out a living among the dead, and delves into the deep reaches of the city to find anything to make life better. Frank is beaten, he doesn’t want anything from anyone, and just now resides in his mind to survive and see the next day. But one day while scavenging, a girl comes into his life, and all of a sudden (right?) survival is not enough…

Zombie Years is a Horror Drama with lots of action and Humor, Survival tips, both real and unreal, DIY concepts, Latin American/Caribbean culture, while featuring Miami as a whole other character in the story.

866 pages later...we're about halfway through the epic fantasy.
It's All Ages. Which isn't easy. But I love it.

My company was an animation studio before I turned to publishing. So you'll notice that the two industries collided when producing this series.

TITLE: Bug-Out: An Electric Drama In Red And Black.

SYNOPSIS: In the undetermined future, the majority of humans have been crowded into Sacrum, a gigantic city in a valley in a desert, where they have been living and dying and not developing at all for decades. Policing them is the Chitin Guard, a motley crew of technological gendarmes whose hi-tech, performance-enhancing helmets - originally a patent developed for military work - are all in the shape of some sort of Beetle.

In their heyday, following their creation, they were the proud warrior-defenders of a city of promise and progress; now, there are only 10 fully-trained, helmeted officers in a bubbling cauldron of unrest and distrust. The recruiting machine can no longer locate individuals who suit its refined criteria, and there remain few mechanics able enough to understand the original data-coding that controls its choices.

That number of officers is to be reduced even further, with the surprise announcement from one of the Guard's best – Sergeant-At-Arms Aidan Blake – that he is planning to leave Sacrum and rediscover life outside the city's oppressive Sun Dome.

Thus begins the 'Bug-Out' – referring to the military definition of an army outpost leaving their current location, dismantling their equipment and moving on.

OTHER: Due to the fact that I'm still setting up the fershlugginer website and ironing out the art, the comic has not started yet. However, it will, and I'm pretty confident it'll be appreciated. I apologise in advance for the generally poor content, but we are just beginning, and many more future developments will follow.

For the past 7 or 8 years I have had a "on again, off again" relationship with a comic that I created. That comic is called "Laughableness". First off the name I picked is horrible. It is hard to pronounce, and no one can remember it. Most people call it "The Laughables" or "Laugh-Man" or "Lunchables". I saw it in the dictionary, and thought it was funny that "Laughableness" is a real word. After only two issues of Laughableness, we are going in to the futuristic world of cyberspace.

It won't be as cool as "The Matrix" or "The Matrix II" but it will be cooler than "The Matrix III" and "Speed II". Where was I? Oh, comics. I am going to post new shit every week, and some old stuff. Invisible, Inc.'s second issue gives a federal agent a glimpse of the conspiracy behind the curtain of the customary superhero slugfests.

The humor anthology DOSE has morphed from primarily print with samples online, to primarily online with a short run of printing. I'm going to put the full issues online, one page a day, all summer. You can read lots of it collected until the end of the week; then it gets serialized on the front page.

I write the webcomic Welcome to Border City with artist Monty Smith. It's sort of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? meets Watchmen. A murder mystery with superhero archetypes and a rich mythology, but less dark and more meta- and Deconstructionist. It's been going for about a year now, with some interruptions due to hurricanes. The best compliment I got about it was a reader came into the comic shop and told us that she "reads two webcomics on a regular basis--Border City and Freak Angels."

I'm doing a full story in the form of a graphic novel, but I'm using the web as my medium. It reads more like a traditional comic (with cool flipping pages and that new comic smell (well maybe not the smell)) then a web comic, but since the web is the medium, it is undeniably still classified as a web comic. I've added the synopsis and page 6 (to show the masterful art of S. Grim). I will be printing issues (20-30 pages) as they get published, but it's still free online.

I co-write Registered Weapon (updates Tuesday and Friday), the story of a cash register who becomes a crime-fighting robot and is partnered with the toughest homicide detective in Los Angeles. Wow, there's some awesome stuff I've never even heard of in this thread!

My name is Scott Robertson. I'm the creator of the webcomic known as Koalacaust. I do the art, writing and the website. It began on June 27, 2008 and updates 3 times a week with an eventual shift to 5 times a week projected for later this year. Koalacaust is a serial comic, and standalone updates are rare, but do occur.

Chapter 4 started at the end of March. There are less than 100 total comics, so catching up shouldn't be a problem. The art style shifts drastically from the beginning to the current comics. Honestly, it didn't really start to stabilize until Chapter 4. This is my first longterm sequential art project. It took this comic to help me fully appreciate the demands of consistency required of a cartoonist.

Koalacaust is about a guy named Garrick that screws up his life by losing his job and his girlfriend on the same day, and to top it off, accidentally made his catholic mother think he's gay because he keep losing girlfriends and finds a koala that fell out of a van that was involved in a high-speed pursuit. Due to an unlikely turn of events, he and the koala shared a massive electrical shock and a large portion of his brain patterns were imprinted on the koala. A lot of the knowledge that was imprinted on the koala was trivial nonsense Garrick spent his life memorizing instead of important things. The two now share a short-range telepathic link. The koala's thoughts are in blue, and Garrick's are in green.

Hopefully the header will bring you up to speed. I know there is another comic with a koala as a prominent character, but I didn't even know that existed until about a month after my comic launched. I'm confident that the characters are wholly dissimilar, with divergent origins beyond being a "genetically-engineered koala". I created Oz-Ten(my koala) in high school for an art project in 1998, and I'm sure Otter created hers well before she started working on her comic, as well.

The owner of said dildo is Winter, who has taken to following Otra around wherever they go. After foiling the plans of an ultra-sexy seducer of women, Otra becomes Winter's sidekick, and live a fulfilling life of glorious adventure for adventure's sake.

Familiar Ground by Cedric Atizado

Updates three times a week (MWF).

It's a mix of a gag comic with a story. Mostly follows the 4 panel newspaper format, but occasionally changes the panel count/size depending on what needs to be done.

Familiar Ground is a fantasy adventure comedy that follows the antics of animal companions as they accompany their humans on an epic quest. It is loosely based on tabletop RPG games, but I've been told that the humor translates well to a more general audience.

There is a mini-blog that accompanies the comic, but is usually about a random subject matter that is only touched upon in the actual comic. Oh, and there's hover text that is often missed but people have found amusing.

The main character is the dude in blue about four-fifths down the page holding a weapon. See him...?

At some point, I will begin illustrating the feeds as a "true" webcomic at my webpage, HudsonWeb.Net. The goal will be to take the text feeds and turn them into panels. That's still a little ways off in the future, though.

I do Witch Doctor, with art by Lukas Ketner. It's a horror medical drama that grafts disturbing traits from real-life biology to archetypal genre monsters like zombies and werewolves. And it stars a hero who's part Dr. Strange, part Dr. House.

Our first story, Witch Doctor: First Incision, features a decidedly different take on vampires. And it's available to read online, for free, as well as to purchase.

Our second story, "Rock, Paper, Scalpel", is also available for purchase. We were planning to put it online for free, but it's currently being considered for a leading anthology and we're going to have to wait until the verdict comes in. HOWEVER, if you would like to read a preview copy, e-mail me and I'll send you the link.

My name is Thomas K. Dye, and I do a comic called Newshounds which, two years ago, became Newshounds II.

I began this comic on the net in November 1997, when webcomics were relatively young. It started out as a regular comic strip, and remained that way until December 2006. In July of 2007, I rebooted the comic in a more graphic-novel style format, Newshounds II.

I also have another gag-a-day comic called Something Happens which began in April 2006.

I've been doing a web comic page I call Time Cachers:

It's been fun and very educational so far - from the mundane aspects of managing a wordpress/comicpress site, to how my art and writing has evolved when I force myself to adhere to a deadline to complete and post a new page. If what I create doesn't somehow amuse or entertain me, it's a labor to continue with the next page. Inversely, when I can pique my own interest, I find I can't wait to get working on the next few pages.

Here's an odd page sample. This one amuses me, which probably indicates a somewhat juvenile sense of humor....

As Scott mentioned (msg. 5814.29), he and I are currently doing a not especially faithful adaptation of THE ODYSSEY called ODYSSEUS THE REBEL over at Big Head Press, basically about learning to tell the world to go fuck itself. It was a lot of fun, very irreverent (both literally and figuratively), and I've been putting poor Scott through hell, but he knew the job was dangerous when he took it. He thinks it's libertarian rant, but it isn't; it's an atheistic anarchist romp - and the death of mythology.

Produced monthly and published on the internet for free, 'The Seeds of Orcus' is a webcomic
about a gang of young inter-galactic refugees who survive a crash-landing in Rendlesham forest
at the height of the Cold War.

It's a nine issue series that explores themes of social freedom and national security
from the perspective of five alien children who are picked up by the US Air Force in
Europe and incarcerated by the UK Ministry of Defence at a secret army base on Rathlin
Island.

It explores a lot of themes but at its heart is a prison escape story that builds to an
explosive conclusion. It's like a cool 1980's BBC drama series but the themes are very 21st century.

So jump in now, Issue 3 will be up soon, and a mailing list is in the pipeline. Here is a preview of the Cover.

I recently finished a comic called "Laika-23," a scifi slapstick comedy. The first part of the story is a 22 page comic, and then it's continued in a live action short film.

Conny Van Ehlsing, Monster Hunter

The title really says it all. There's Conny, and she hunts monsters. Oh, and she's six and really not supposed to play with sharp objects. The comic is made up of short stories (up to 8 pages, mostly), and the update schedule is one page a week, every Friday.

I do Sunset Grill, a futuristic webcomic of crime, politics, and really serious drinking. Audience appears to mostly consist of the kind of people who read roleplay setting books and Tolkienesque appendices for fun, which is a revelation: previously I had thought that particular vice was mine alone. The art is godawful, but said audience seems to think the writing makes up for it.

Just started up a new webcomic, as it happens. THE SIXSMITHS is a domestic comedy/drama about a family of Satanists who have fallen on hard times. It's by me and frequent collaborator J. Marc Schmidt, creator of EGG STORY and EATING STEVE from Slave Labor Graphics.

THE SIXSMITHS updates on Thursdays. I'd love to update more frequently, but Marc and I are producing an OGN to along with it (which is about 50% complete) and there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Din Krakatau is currently on a sort-of hiatus. That is, I'll be replacing it with a b&w version and relaunching under a new title (Amen City Chronicles) together with a series of sequels, Din Krakatau being only volume one of the series. Still... you can read he first 128 pages online at this point in color.
(please don't kill me for posting three pages, I just couldn't make up my mind which one is less important of these three)

I have been doing a panel-a-day auto-bio comic called Screw Jeff Owens for 861 days now. It's sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes happy, sometimes exciting, sometimes boring, much like life. I'm no professional artist, but I do it every day, so that counts for something, right? Right?!

NIGHTMARE WORLD which was recently picked-up by Shadowline/Image Comics, was once described as having the "intelligence of best THE TWILIGHT ZONE episdes you ever watched and the creepiness of the best TALES FROM THE CRYPT stories you ever read"... and that pretty much tells you everything you need to know about our lil' anthology series written by NEWSARAMA's "Write or Wrong" columnist Dirk Manning and illustrated by a rotating cast of some of the best "unknown" artists in the industry today... aside from the whole Cthulhu/Armageddon subplot and how all separate eight-page stories of the series weave together over time, anyway.

After all, if we told you too much about that it would ruin all the fun!

This is a great thread. My webcomic is an action-adventure, comedy called "After-School Agent." The comic is updated every Monday.

It's the story of Gordon Levitch, a 13 year-old boy who was dying from cancer until the government tested an experimental drug on him that not only cured him, but made him stronger and faster. Now the government forces him to go on politically motivated black-op missions for them. And he does all this while dealing with his family, who know nothing about his adventures.

The first is called "Friends in Square Places" and is about a girl who is forced to enroll into college with her two brothers, Ted & Who, both of which are anthropomorphic dogs who happen to be super geniuses.

My second webcomic is a Horror comic that pays homage to classic horror comics like Tales from the Crypt, Vault of Horror, & the Creepy/Erie series. It's called the "International Horror Association". We previously would release a short horror comic every Halloween but this year we are looking for more artists looking to contribute to the site.

Tales of the DarkRaven in a nutshell: I tried out for Stan Lee's "Who Wants to be a Superhero" reality TV show and was not selected. In my despair, I decided to prove to Stan the Man that I should have been a contender by becoming a superhero in real life, with hilarious (and painful) consequences! My friend Brian acts as my superhero chaperone, The Blue Tit, and he keeps me out of trouble on behalf of my wife. We update every Wednesday.

I did do a weekly webcomic called Exotic Soup for a while which I haven't worked on in ages, but plan to resurrect at some point - especially since I'm currently learning Illustrator which looks to be way easier to ink in than Photoshop.

It's about four guys that suddenly find themselves turned into anthropomorphic animals for no reason they can fathom and how they cope.

The post apocalyptic story concerns Ravenwing and her tracker scout, living like Native Americans, who are asked to help out their more technological neighbors as scouts against an approaching army of Neo Nazis (among other things) The series starts here...

Its first four issues ran as a minicomic, and its current arc (from the fifth issue on) is told online, updating every five days. It's a kind of "survivalist comedy" with fantasy overtones; more "Deadwood & Dilbert" than "Dungeons & Dragons".

So, hi, all, my name`s Ioannis Milionis. I`m a greek cartoonist, born and living in Germany, using the artist's name mil and running my website mycartoons.de showing my cartoons ( I think they`re called single-panel cartoons/comic-strips in english) on the web. Updates 3 times a week. At the moment it is all in German but I`m working on an english version of the website.

The humor is quite mature, politically incorrect, mostly black and/or surreal and sometimes just plain silly.

My colleague and I do a little webcomic called On the Cusp about (mostly) a couple of cousins, Barny and Johnny Cusp. There's an obscene amount of cut and paste that actually takes more time than drawing them. But once you've got a theme you're probably stuck with it. It's about gaming, IT and whatever strikes our fancy when we're cobbling it together. Oh yeah, and each comic has more dubious jokes in the alt-text as a mouseover.

The story revolves around Claude, who is a half faerie destined to be reborn over and over with no previous memories of his life. He is on a search for a Faerie he has an eternal connection to named Xylia, and together he is apparently destined to save a place called Azloe. I write, color and letter a comic that comes out three times a week called Cosmic Hellcats. The concept was originally based on four models who I've worked with (I'm also a photographer) and I decided it'd be funny to make an indy comment about their adventures in space. Just for a little something extra we made them catgirls and we put together an indy comic for Pittsburgh comicon. The webcomic grew out of that, and we've just been having fun with it ever since.

It's kind of a combination story strip and joke strip. Our storylines run twice a week (mondays and thursdays) and take several months to complete, but we try to spread at least a little humor into each strip. In addition, every saturday, we have a one panel joke strip, in the vein of the Farside or Family Circus, that shows another look at some character from the strip. And on top of that, every once in a while I post pics of the models that the comic is based on, because, really, who doesn't like to see pretty girls in the blog of their favorite comic strip.

Evening, all. My name's Wes, I normally do non-comic art, but the sequential media bug bit me on the arse end a couple years ago and I've not been the same since. Right now I do an urban fantasy webcomic (not a lot of those out there, are there?) set in an anachronistic Big Band/WWII New York: HEX'D (warning: the current page is pinup filler art while I orchestrate a complicated move to Chicago...potentially NSFW if your boss is uptight)

I was originally working on this as an experiment to learn how to do manga-style screentoning, but I recently decided to just go ahead and do it in color, it's almost less work and looks nicer online anyway. Older pages aren't up to snuff, they'll be replaced this summer.

Little Garden is an ongoing series of nonsequential vignettes concerning the daily lives of a group of forest-dwelling monsters. Watch as they farm, play music, sit around and have a good time:

Mighty Epic is my webcomic about two knights out on an epic quest for — well, they don't really remember what for. They couldn't pay attention because they were so excited about getting a quest. But they will complete their task for they are knights!

I update 3-4 pages every Thursday at 8am my time (Pacific USA). Here's a sample of this Thursday's story:

I started doing this recently because of two things: I read that Lewis Trondheim made a 500 page comic just to teach himself how to make comics; and I am a freelancer with a lot of free time these days. I don't know if it'll go to 500 pages, but it is fun to do. The link brings you to the table of contents, so you can start at the beginning.

I hope you like it. As an added bonus, there are two film quotes in this Thursday's episode. The first person to comment with the two movies they are from, wins a print of this:

It's 4x6 inches printed on nice archival paper with quality inks. Postage is covered, you don't have to come by my place to pick it up or anything.

HI, I'm Tricia Lupien, and I draw and write Swiftriver. I publish it twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, except when I don't. I've been publishing for three months, so it's an excellent time to catch up and read the archives.

Swiftriver follows Bowie Swiftriver, an ex-thief, as he tries to settle back into his life in Boston. Sadly, things rarely go smoothly, and he's convinced that he's going crazy, due to some weird hallucinations he's been having. He's just found out that it's not all in his head, and finding out that these things are real may be even worse.

Wow. Seriously impressive stuff. Guess I know where the next few hours are going...

To throw in my own - I do the webcomic Azure over on Zuda. It's a post-cataclysmic romp through a world where are cities are on the ocean floor and earth has become a watery grave for most. The story is told through Emily's eyes as she explores under and above the waters of the world in her submersible, Pearl. Girls, guns, cool tech, and some crazy underwater environments.

Urk, you guys are giving me a serious inferiority complex.

But, uh, hey. I'm T.D. Ward. I write and illustrate Fledgling. I haven't been posting the pages for too long, but Fledgling is a comic that's about three years in the making. It updates Tuesdays and Thursdays, because it seems like no one else does.

It's a somewhat surreal comic set quite a while from now, where the human race is nearing extinction and aliens have altered the evolution of mammals. It follows the last days of a convict and his victim as they flee from a world that wants them both dead.

I posted the links a while back, but now we're back to weekly updates (Thursday/Fridays) at WanderLand. The story itself has been described as two men getting hauled out of their already-notably interesting lives into a long and messed-up journey, a little like Quantum Leap meets X-Files. I co-write and tackle the art, and we're just getting past exposition and world-building and into the fun stuff... like zombies and hitting people with sticks and swearing a lot. This is a preview for page four of the current chapter, which will hit the website in two weeks:

Helloooo. This thread is amazing. Why haven't I heard of some of these comics?! I already read at least a ton.

I have two webcomics. Both are incredibly long-form story comics, because I'm a masochist. What can I say - I love them both.

Millennium is a full color fantasy/adventure webcomic drawn to satisfy the world-creating and adventuring part of me, with monsters and ideas hailing all the way from my grade school days. It's intended to be a lighthearted, humorous journey. It's short so far, despite its 5+ year history - it restarted last year and has yet to pass its sixth page and a somewhat ~~informative~~ vague and confusing prologue introduction, but since planning and scripting is far ahead of that it's well on its way to becoming what I've been wanting it to be. :D

Its old archives of about 120 pages are still available on the site in full. I'm still fond of the old version - it's just not what it should be for the direction I began wanting to take!

None of the characters have been reintroduced in the new version yet, but they will be in a few more pages - oooo.

Read from the start! It updates on Fridays every fortnight, in theory.

LOVEFEAST is "a supernatural mature action/drama webcomic about gods of death". It focuses on relationships, and also action. I haven't read enough comics with such a strange dynamic between fighting and relationships, so I thought, heck, why not.

I love its characters (the main one was just introduced, in a way), and I've been scrambling to finish the random little intro story (sooo close) so I can get to drawing the actual story. So far it's taken well over a year, and it's been an interesting learning experience for various reasons. Now for the good stuff, huh?

Ooo! Plug time. My name is Corey, and I have a webcomic. When I don't draw comics I draw for the television cartoons here in Los Angeles.

My comic is called "Turnpike," and it's a comedy horror based on a real highway in Florida. It is an anthology series, with stories that are self-contained. There are some intertwining elements, like the villains of the comic who we will see with the next storyline. It's still young. Only two stories and a couple one-pagers are up. I enjoy the strange, paranormal, weird and imaginative, and hope you do too. This comic does not glorify some aspect of young adult or nerd culture either.

Shades

Shades is a character-driven graphic novel dealing with the problems of a group of UK superheroes as they try to come to terms with their role in the modern world. Their conflict therefore mirrors the dilemmas confronting the UK in the real world. In creating the UK superheroes we have tried to avoid the traps of simply dressing US style heroes in the Union Flag (e.g. Captain Britain), resorting to parody (Superman: True Brit) or borrowing sterotypes from a Mediaeval theme restaurant (e.g. Shining Knight)! The intention is that the characters should be believable as real individuals who were actually born in the UK and whose personalities have been shaped by the experience of living here.

Shades is written by David A J Berner (that's me!). The artwork for the Prologue and Chapters 1 - 8 is by Harsho Mohan Chattoraj. The artwork for Chapters 9 onwards is by E.C. Nickel, with colours by Muamal Khairi. The pages below are Page 9 and Page 11 of Chapter 10.

Hey gang! I'm Jenn Jordan, co-author of Darwin Carmichael is Going to Hell.

Darwin Carmichael has a problem. Due to an unfortunate incident involving some intense snogging, an unbalanced high chair, and a framed image of the Buddha, he acquired a massive karmic deficit. Long story short, he’s going to go to Hell. Darwin doesn’t particularly want to go to Hell, so he’s doing everything he can to save his immortal soul.

Managing his complete karmic rehabilitation, a soul-crippling day-job in financial aid counseling, life in a ridiculously gentrified, rent-inflated neighborhood, and a pack of free-loading stoner angels is tricky, to say the least.

His best friend, Ella Fitzgerald, the daughter of saints with good karma to burn, coaches Darwin on saving his soul. His 2000 year old pet manticore, Skittles, provides moral support, the wisdom of the ancients, and fluffy hugs. Darwin must contend with his obnoxious roommate—art student and suspected alien Matt Westbury—but there’s also his friendly minotaur landlord, Patrick, who drinks Darwin’s beer and fixes the sink.

Basically, I unbox toys (including rarities) and use them to set up sequences that make fun of fanboy tropes. So I get a bit of hate mail.

To be clear, I am an adult who plays with toys and makes a comic out of that. This is not a comic strip using adult toys (though having written that down, I think that would likely make a compelling entry).

Hey, my name's Kyle, and my comic is called Unicorn Tears, it's been going since mid-March, and updates Mondays and Thursdays. It's primarily about dysfunctional relationships, the twenty-odd-year-old sorts who have managed to completely avoid adulthood, yet somehow manages to feature cult-like shopping centers and biblical plagues. It has a story, so your best bet is starting from the beginning.

But I mean, you don't have to. If you're really opposed to that for some reason.

I write a webcomic called Lord Buttersnatch's Fairy Detective Troop, but Adrien's very gorgeous artwork is the reason to check it out (and the reason we update slowly). There's a lot of noir influence on the work as well as hefty amounts of punk rock and Shakespeare. The story deals with titular detective, a bitter and lost gnome, searching for vanished pixies in the decaying streets of Arcadia City. The tattered aftermath of A Midsummer Night's Dream might also play a role.

A little late to the party but I'll toss my hat in the ring. My brother and I do a few webcomics together over at Cook Bros. Comics Our newest comic is called Stick Shift and it's an action/comedy set in the near future about a racing series similar to Death Race 2000. Our "silver Age" comic is a comedic space opera called Blast Asteroid and the Space Patrol and it's about a goofy space captain and his ragtag crew's adventures. We like to have fun with our comics and hope anyone who checks them out gets a chuckle or two. At least once a year we'll collect our works into minicomics and hand them out at Megacon in Orlando, FL or various LCBS. Thanks for reading!

I'm almost sure I've mentioned it before but nevertheless...

The Profane Comedy of Audley Strange.
It's a long form story adventure of a particularly thick cake obsessed demon who happens to be a deeply selfish eight year old girl who decides to kill Satan and thus get fired from her job in inhuman rescources for gross misconduct. It's mostly a satire but with a garnish of vile characters, occult thought and outright blasphemy.

It's been going on regularly for about 4 years. I update between 3 to five times a week.

Founded in 1850, Wrenwood Heights Asylum was the crown jewel of the mental health care industry. Years of budget cuts and neglect have left the asylum in a state of disrepair and relaxed security. A situation that the residents take full advantage of on a regular basis.

This is the story of a group patients inside the walls of Wrenwood and their struggle to get through the day. The longer they live at Wrenwood the more they wonder who is crazier - them or the outside world.

Coming to this thread a bit late, but here we go. My comic is The Cattle Raid of Cooley, my attempt at adapting the ancient Irish epic Táin Bó Cúailnge without any of that nasty new-age Celtibollocks or Heavy Metal-cover barbarian tat, but plenty of sex and violence.

We're 41 pages in. Connacht, led by their king Ailill and queen Medb, and their ally Fergus, an exiled Ulsterman, have launched an invasion of Ulster. Watching the border against such an eventuality are sixteen-year-old rookie Cú Chulainn and his charioteer Láeg - only when the army arrived Cú Chulainn had snuck off to see a girl and missed it. He's currently doing his best to harass them as they advance.

It's drawn in red biro, without pencilling, and updates at a rate of a page a week, every Wednesday.

I'm coming late to the thread but I'd still like to pitch my comic. It's a family friend web comic called Super Siblings. The Super Siblings are a brother and sister with super powers. I play host to a down-and-out comic stripper at my blog, brendantobin.blogspot.com. Featured under the tag Rex Tarkleton Showcase, I post the surly Mr. Tarkleton's comic strips whenever he's not on a bender, in jail, or shows up with one. I hope to get him on a tighter regimen in producing these, but unbridled creativity often spawns unpredictable behavior. There's a smattering of my work on there too.

This is really more of a journey strip like LITTLE NEMO than it is about telling a story. But there are many things going on the background that will allow you to enjoy reading it several times. I tried some more experimental uses of panel formatting to take absolute advantage of the iPhone as a viewing device. I am the first person to many of the things seen in the strip and I put a lot of work into it.

a quick report,

Thanks to Webcomics Week and the nod on Warrenellis.com, the stats on Yon Kuma skyrocketed, specially after being in the frontpage of Warren's site, we had more than 5000 visits in a couple of days.

Also we were approached by a company regarding digital distribution thru phones. We are still working out the details on that one.

I started a web comic called Sentinel. Its about a group of kids from the Bronx who encounter a robot sent from space to warn the earth of an impending invasion.
I set it in the Bronx because that's where I'm from. My influences were Gigantor, The Iron Giant, and all the sci-fi and fantasy stuff I grew up watching and reading.

Work-Study is a webcomic that originally started back in 2001 all by myself. Back then it did not have an update schedule, and slowly puttered along at its own pace. Recently it has changed such that I am only the writer, and a friend of mine is now in charge of the art duties; this change has caused it to now update about twice a month. Taking place on a fictional college university; Work-Study is a tale of Code Red, Elite Booze Agents, Squirrel Armies, Megalomanical Art Directors, Stigmata Holes, Video Games, and more...

I just want to thank Mr. Ellis again for mentioning my webcomic, Nathan Sorry, on his site last week. And I thought I got a nice traffic spike from posting it to this thread back when it started. One sentence about it from Warren himself has given me more than 5x the traffic in that first day. Plus I've gotten a number of people signing up for email alerts when new pages are posted.

I'm working now to speed up my process so I can try to get on a regular shedule of one page per week.

Everyone involved with WIDE AWAKE would like to say "thank you" to all of you who checked out our preview chapter. I am also pleased to share the news that the movie option for the webcomic has been picked up. Full details are up at www.wideawakeonline.com

This development, coupled with several new comic gigs for everyone involved, has delayed our planned start for the ongoing weekly series, but we're in production now and stockpiling chapters to allow for an uninterrupted run.

All good news and promoting aside, this thread has been a great doorway for web traffic, and we really wanted to express our gratitude to everyone for giving us a look.

Kudos to the creators here as well. There's quite a bit of brilliance out there, and it's great to see you getting the attention you deserve.

We do a webcomic called Airship Daedalus. It runs twice a week. It is features your classic heros from the days of radio and pulps. You have your leading man and your daring woman plus a hardy crew that fly a dirigible designed by Thomas Edison. Edison recruited them to battle the evil black forces of Alister Crowley. It is an ode to the days of yester year with the likes of Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Tarzan and Secret Agents. If you guys like pulp you should have some liking for this strip.
