    Spider Queen

Why does one get called (or call themselves) queen? That was my approach. I figured that there had to be a crown in there somewhere. This Sharon Kane controls/communicates spiders and when doing such, an aura appears around her head in a crown fashion.

It was either this or an anthropomorphic Nadya Suleman.

Awesome thread as usual and, for a change, I actually have an idea for it. However, not having drawn in over 10 years I have my doubts I'll be remotely capable of putting it to paper. Let's see...

I pretty much dislike myself for not doing more of these Remakes. Great stuff everyone, keep it up.

...and here we have the "Ruin The Bell Curve" moment, or as I like to call it, the "Aw CRAP, I gotta post something after THAT?!?!?!"

OUT-standing, Ryan Kelly. You are an artistic force o' nature...
I'm grinding away on mine, posting sometime soon.

Too many good ones to mention, but bonus kudos to Alberto, Lord Mitz, Egypt Umash, Lukas Ketner, MDominic and Sobreiro!

I love the tension in Ryan Kelly's piece. She seems almost like an amnesiac heroine who does her heroic deeds by night and then wakes up stuck halfway up a building, not knowing why she's wearing the silly costume and sporting the bracelets. Then, night comes, she thinks "I might as well try and do the same thing again..." and you can guess the rest.

Y'know, if I was a wealthy publisher, and seeing as all these characters are y'know, copyright free, I'd be tempted to get all the old ones from the Engine, some of these, and stick 'em all together in a swanky art-book.

As it is, I've noticed more than a couple pop up on the funny-book shelves recently... Buck Rogers, Madam Masque, and a couple of others. It's like someone's reading these threads...

I'm glad I finally joined in on this thread. It's pushing the wow-bar past 11.

@ryankelly; Oh. I dislike you for not putting up more as well. Adore your detail work.

@danaorbek; Lovely! Whoever commissioned it got beyond their penny's worth.

@brennoculars; Stunning line-work, I really love the re-imagined costume. It has a fluid movement to it.
