Thanks! And, just glancing at your webpage, you worked on Frisky Dingo? Awesome. One day, when I'm employed, I'll have something cool like that on my resume.

Hehe, thanks for taking a look. There are actually a couple more albert fish pieces I've done if you're curious.

    Thanks :)

Well now. Since there is obviously no way to compete with a Sizer or an Annie, my brainmeats have started playing a different game:

    clickrush comic

Sorry for the lack of proper scan-tidying guys. I think this page here is a mix of mild sleep deprivation, leaving the character notes at home and a general being-at-workness... I've got a proper character design for Mr. Rush somewhere, but it's getting late so I'll finish that tomorrow.

21st Century Gadget Man has swapped his bulletproof vest for head-to-toe body armour.
Most of his gadgets are now housed in his helmet. Toads don't live forever - even talking ones - so Gadget Man has put a stencil of the amphibian onto his outfit to remind him of the good ol' days.

@Ken Miller, I used ink and white paint. The majority of it was with drybrush with some croquil black ink and white paint fixes. My pictures always have this funny glow from the amount of white paint I use in almost every area, since the paint is shiny, but the paper isn't.

I love all the crazy Gadget Men with frogs controlling them. I'm starting to think that maybe the frog actually is real and everything else is fake. But then I'd be as crazy as Click Rush.

Hahaha, that'd be great if the world of Gadget Man is all some Toad's fucked up imagination.

Love it, Ken. In his spare time, he could be a backup musician in Daft Punk!
Here's some more graphics for all you Bufa 8-Bit fans:

and my sketches for Gadget Man, if anyone is interested:

I must say Freak Angels inspired me to try out new styles.I used to do heavy-contrast uber shaded sparkly cg and I'll probably do it again but here I wanted my first art post to also be something new for me. I kinda watched apocalypse now a few days ago and I frikkin love that movie like "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" and so it happens that I also put a little bit of that in there. As the theme was to make Gadget a 21st century turn on,I decided to make him Irish because I think Irish people are hot.And they're ginger. My Gadget dude here also has a bit of a temper so he doesn't have the nerve to think of an extra fancy solar panel on his back so he decided to steal a car battery to power the Xray thingy on his head, which might or might not be a good idea,I am not really sure.
I am aware that my anatomy sucks and by that I do not mean my ass.
So here, lemme know what ye think.
I like brown like the color of my shit in your face...what? It's late... i can't think of something witty ok....

Man, the good stuff is coming out of the woodwork this week! Welcome aboard, AngeliQ, and thanks for a @#$% great drawing!

originally it was Paul as the Toad, Andre as Click and a model friend named Khwan as the Spider Queen.
Originally it was Paul as the Toad, Andre N. as Click and a model friend named Khwan as the Spider Queen. But I decided to paint instead ... that's the Spider Car behind then that Click built ... I've tons of ideas for his gadgets — but I decided later it would be big steampunky things ala 'Super Car' ... I've seen too many excellent 'needle guns' in this thread alone ...

@angeliQ Wow, that's really nice. The car battery is an ace touch.

@Paul Sizer: Nice Sheppard Fairey reference there.

This is my take. Loving all the posts so far. As I was coloring tonight, I was lamenting my lack of a real toad, and almost wishing I'd gone a different direction.

This is the Gadget Monk, an acolyte of Bufo, who uses his nightly meditation to project visions of gadgets that he then fashions out of gold the following morning. He tries to give these gadgets to the local constable, but is scoffed at, so he takes his prayer beads and goes out into the night to make his offering to the toad-god, and bring the criminals back to do their penance under the Eye of Bufo.

It's also modeled on Whitechapel poster, LX so I'll throw it up in the Draw Each Other thread as well. (I like killing two birds with these things when I can)

That toad is absolutely fabulous. Seriosly, I can't look away. The whole piece is great, but that's definitely my favorite bit.

Goddamn, there have been so many great entries this week. Crazy.

Man, this one is bringing out some of the best work that I've seen on here... Truly too many to name! I was just on here to make sure that the thread was still open before starting mine, which I will do immediately. I'm sorry in advance...

Adrian Rivera - yeah, your use of white really gives the piece a real glow.

Matthewchilders - I like the retro gun & toad copter.

    tyim - nice style.

DBed - I'm interested in Click's eyes: have his blue chemicals given him x-ray vision maybe?

    Annie - nice pose!

    Rooth - I like the Watchmen-style gear.

    Connor O'Bain - great specs!

Sobreiro - I love the fact that the toad speaks his own language. Click looks very Crumb-esque. Nice use of black.

Greasemonkey - super-bright Van Gogh: cool.

Paul Sizer - Great style, great graphics, great attention to detail. Nice to see the sketches too.

Scott Keating - Very nice stuff: especially the toad & the lighting. Are you a game/movie concept artist?

AngeliQ - Sweet. What did you do this illustration in? Nice logo too.

Dunnagin - Awsome shoulder cannon. What was the medium: Photoshop?
