    Okay, so...
    My first thought, upon reading about Click's love of brown, was a dude smearing himself in shit in a corner somewhere... Since I thought that it was a pretty empty idea at that point, I tried to let it go - to no avail. I just couldn't draw a dude in a nice brown suit.

    Also, the toad had me baffled until I saw Sizer's, and then I'm like, "DUH! Frogger!"

    I'm not to much concerned about the inventions... His half-glasses are supposed to be X-Ray specs, but he's nuts, so they aren't really. At least I gave him the bulletproof vest!

    My first thought was the old American euphemism "brown man" for a homosexual who engaged in anal sex.

    But since I'm not an artist I kept it to myself.

    Bloody 'ell, there's some good stuff this week.

    I think AngeliQ deserves special kudos for hitting it for six with her first ever post!

    I agree. AngeliQ's is my favourite (and the anatomy is great!) I love the tank girl kind of feel. It's the one I most want to read as a fully fledged piece - I think her take on the character would get up to some seriously deranged shit.

    'cuz what's most likely to dress in brown, talk to toads, carry lost of gadgets (well, stuff anyway) around and fight crime with a hypodermic needle.

    Thanks guys,I promise I won't let it get to my head.This piece was the end of an art block that lasted over 2 months.Gotta do some freakangel art feels good to draw again :D

    "...some seriously deranged shit. "

    Yes.Yes it would.

    Ooooo very artsy rendition,is that Painter or Art Rage or something? Unique presentation.

    Nice one,I like the idea,played with the Kermit the frog idea myself but I like your rendition of him,crucified like that.

    What the hell is in the water this week? Seriously, this thread has just blown up with cool stuff, and I'm talking military-grade cool shit!
    Kudos to all! I know I've posted comments like this a bunch all ready, but THIS is the kind of art action that the internet was built to encourage. Literally world wide art jams! Outstanding.

    As always I wish I could single out every single contributor to this thread.

    Leaving that aside, Edwin: Not only do I like the execution of your piece, I love how even after a bunch of really intelligent and creative people have offered their reworkings of the character, that you can come up with a completely different and very interesting take on the idea.

    Inspired by Frequent's comment, here's a link to a 1280x800 wallpaper of OBEY BUFA, just for you all because I love you and I'm still hopped up on cold meds...

    This is way better than working ;)

    @ Dunnagin - Absolutely love it, the level of detail and the way it bleed down from very sharp and crisp to loose and sketchy as you go down the page. Kind of schizo, but it works ;)

    @ Edwin - agreeing with Kosmopolit, original and excellent

    @ Scott Keating - I checked out your Fish links here, is there more out there somewhere?

    @AngeliQ - Welcome, and wow!

    @Paul Sizer - When's the Bufa T-shirt due out? ;)

    been meaning to comment on the stuff i like.

    @lordmitz – love the linework and the frog a lot.
    @David Lee Ingersoll - I wish I could see this bigger so I can check out the little details.
    @Annie - really clever/cool/nice clothing options. I like when gadgetman is just a normal guy with some gadgets, and not yet a full blown power-armored robotman thing.
    @Rooth - this one is really nice. when i saw it in pencil, i imagined Nathan Fillion as your gadgetman.
    @Matthewchilders - I love when pencil is colored over and the black fill areas aren't completely filled. i love this drawing.
    @Yoav - The color version of this is so nice. Great work.
    @DBed - This reminds me of James Bond Jr. or some 90's animated series, and that's exciting. Plus, those eyes...
    @Adrian Rivero - Love the brush work a lot. Reminds me or Ryan Kelly.
    @Paul Sizer - Game over. Awesome gadgetman.
    @Scott Keating - That frog is so pretty. And those Fish pages are great. I want to read more.
    @Ken Miller - Nice. This is like the realistic, Dark Knight take on the gadgetman.
    @AngeliQ - Totally love this.
    @Dunnagin - Love this a lot too.

    Well I'm adding mine now. Stellar work this week--too many to single everyone out. I hope mine measures up. Did black and white with bamboo pen, brushes, and markers. Scanned it, and colored in Gimp.

    @AngeliQ--Thanks. I had the same reaction to chris g's toad "thought balloon".
    That’s a mighty patch of armpit tuft on your Click Rush. I see Colin Farrell starring in the movie.
    @shetland--you need to patent that microscopic blowtorch. You’ll hate yourself someday if you don’t.
    Great lighting , design and camera angles in this thread. Mindblowing.

    LA Holmes: I like that Click is dressed as a toad...

    Edwin: Really love that look. Somewhere in the midst of Kevin Eastman doing a sequel to Transmet (where Spider is back to where he started... up the mountain.). Especially like the Kermit doll on the shopping cart, and I'm a sucker for shopping carts!

    Paul Sizer: Thanks for the wallpaper! I'd totally wear that shirt.

    The most original concept in the thread. I agree with frequentcontributor, the Kermit doll detail is specially nice.
