Watched Eden Log last night and while searching to see if the soundtrack was available, found that Seppuku Paradigm posted it for free download on their site along with the soundtrack to Martyrs: Seppuku Paradigm.

I've been listening to the new Pelican EP as well. It sounds like B-sides from City of Echoes, but I liked City of Echoes, so it's not bad. I hope they have some new sounds for me to take in by the time they release their next full-length, though.

    Other stuff:
Clutch - Strange Cousins From the West (loving it so far)
    Xasthur - All Reflections Drained
    Eels - Hombre Lobo
Chris Wollard - The Ship Thieves (Formerly of Hot Water Music. Strangely summery album, if you like your summers a tad morose.)

Noisy emo-tinged punky poppy boy-girl wailing courtesy of Johnny Foreigner. Picked up their debut album for £5 off 7digital. Great.

Also, School of Seven Bells do that shoegaze/techno thing with slices of New Age on top. Pretty. Cool.

    @ Kuru93
That Martyrs soundtrack is excellent, almost made the film appealing !
(And I have to watch it again with a friend soon, just to make my mind up that the first half and the second half are really joined.)

This just found its way to my ears:
    (esp. the King Creosote version)
And there's the small matter of The Jams "Black Room EP".
Oh I have to give the eels one another go.

Foreign Born - Person to Person: RevD suggested this one last week and i found a copy. lovely tunes!

Boris - Pink: I got this album after hearing the signature tune "Farewell" which is massive slab of shoegaze noise. I recommend it

Blues mode this week, which means tons of BLIND BLAKE, BUMBLE BEE SLIM, CHARLEY PATTON, SKIP JAMES and many others. Acoustic, pre-war stuff, mostly.
Besides that, EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN'S "Ende Neu," SONIC YOUTH'S "Washing Machine," and "Treasure" by the COCTEAU TWINS.

    J-Dilla - 'Donuts'
I feel like a bag of ass for not getting this sooner. Phenomenal. For fans of Madlib's instrumentals-- though this is several steps beyond. It emerges from your speakers feeling less like a cut-up than an immaculate conception.

    Nadja - 'Numbness'
Picked this one up for Aiden Baker. Him & Tim Hecker on 'Fantasma Parastasie' kicked my can, so this oughta to be good. Haven't heard it yet; it's on after 'Donuts'.

Burning Star Core - anything I can get my hands on, at this point.
If you liked 'Challenger' you should get the 'Amelia' EP. Work your way out from there. I don't dig C. Spencer Yeh's solo stuff, but BSC has produced little that is not experimental gold.

The Hope Conspiracy - Cold Blue/File 03/Endnote/Death Knows Your Name. - It's a Hope Con kind of day.

Minor Threat - Complete Discography. And a Minor Threat kind of day.

A Hawk and a Hacksaw - Darkness at Noon/The Way The Wind Blows/Délivrance. - Because I'm getting ready to see them live in 6 days. Which will be awesome.

Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come. When is it not a Refused kind of day?

And whatever Zao I can find, because, you know, yeah.

Apologies for mucking up the listening thread with video, but Wierd Al's internet teases have begun, and delight:

And the 2-disc soundtrack to Michiko to Hatchin finally came out, a marvelous Latin concoction assembled by Cowboy Bebop's Shinichiro Watanabe, seeing heavy play from me at the moment.

I see you have Slobberbone on that list. You are officially the second person I've seen that knows who they are.
