    This week my playlist consists of;

    The Mars Volta - Octohedron. I'm quite liking this one. It's not as balls out as the last one, but it's going in a similar direction.
    Leonard Cohen - Live at the 02. Good solid live album.
    Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere. Can't stop playing this album. It's just great.
    Jimmy Eat World - Chase This Light. ...Don't judge me.
    Liars - Drums Not Dead. Great kinda tribal feel to this album.

    Jarvis Cocker - Further Complications. He's still got it, folks.

    The Mars Volta - Octahedron. Like Alex said, it's not as balls out, but it still has that familiar sense of emotional urgency to power it through. Feels a little more considered than The Bedlam In Goliath, which may or may not be a good thing.

    Bohren and Der Club of Gore. What they sound like is if you converted a cathedral into a spaceship in order to escape a dying planet, and then sat in the Cathedralship's wonderfully apointed bar, sipping hard liquor and mournfully staring through the porthole at the dead planet below you. At three a.m. Somehow, it's drizzling outside.

    Also, various stuff by Roxy Music. Thanks, Spotify!

    @ RevD

    I´m actually rather liking it! Has a soundtrack feel and quality to it, but it sounds very cohesive and a lot better than some of the local offerings (i.e. Ben Frost). For some reason i feel i´ve heard "I want George Soros" somewhere before, on a commercial or something....

    jeff owens left me a copy of the new MARS VOLTA, but i jhavent listened to it yet. im coming to a realization (that i dont really like) that nowadays, i mainly only listen to music when drinking with friends. since i dont do that all the time anymore, ive realized that i listen to a LOT less music. i think its also because my car stereo shit the bed.
