    BBC just spoke to Uri Geller. Reminds me of what a freakshow his life became. That's the thing that saddens me most. When I think of Jackson I think of Bubbles and (suspected) pedophilia and face masks and all the madness. When I think of Prince, even taking his weirdness into account, I think of Parade and Purple Rain and Around The World in a Day. I barely even remember that Jackson was ever a musician.

    I'd take early reports with a grain of salt. Yahoo News is reporting that he wasn't breathing when found, and that he's hospitalized.

    Oh. Now they say he's in a coma.

    As utterly bizarre as the guy is/was, he has/had talent. It's a shame his inner demons drove him to be such an unhappy nutter.

    Oh. And the L.A. Times reports he was pronounced dead.

    Sheesh.

    I remember when Elvis kicked the bucket. He was seen as a bit of a buffoon and has-been at the time, but was still a well-liked guy.

    Jackson checks out just as he was trying to make a come-back, but under a cloud of wierdness and contempt.

    I wonder if there will be Micheal Jackson sightings going on three decades from now.
