@zombieinzen....Reminds me of Michael Gilbert's Mr. Monster. Nice colors. @Paul Sizer...I like all the little touches, like the case sticker and the slight opacity on the CD liner. That's what really makes these things fun to look at.
It helps when you look through the junk in your collection, doesn't it? I was going through some of my old comic strip books for inspiration, and look what I came across....
Brian Le Golem kind of beat me to the punch with this angle with his Calvin & Hobbes-ish take on it (and well done at that). My own inspiration came equally from Dave Kellett's "Sheldon" (he render's his pug's barking as "Hype!") and, oddly, MacGregor and Colan's "Ragamuffins".
Let's see...Cheesy costume, check. Disco the Detective, check. Gratuitous use of the word "Hyper", check. Yup, I think I covered all the bases.
@Paul Sizer: When I read "From the 90s" I was half expecting the cover for Hype! the grunge doco... lol. Die Dolorous Die! lol love it
@Brian le Golem: Love the look on the brats face... hilarious. and love the colors
@Aurora Borealis: love the inkks and the diso ball head :D
@MDominic: Love the helmet and the gloves. Nice look and colors too! But I esp like Disco the boy detective. The shades and the shirt make it. Reminds me of a cousin of mine, when we'd play as kids I'd be Batman...and he'd be Secret Squirrel cause he had the T-shirt for it.
