@jackcrowder: It definitely works for that piece. There's a lot of grit and murder and it's perfect.
@MDominic: This is like an adult version of Harry and the Hendersons
@Yoav: I like the posted version the most, but all three look great. I'd say the blue comes in a tight second. It looks like an urban bigfoot sighting.
@Rootfireember: I'm scared. That's a lovely and twisted take on the idea. Well done.
@Struthersneil: It's been mentioned, so I'll say it a different way: MEHYAM!
    @kperkins: Anyfu**ingwhere he wants to!
@Ken Miller: Another great piece. "With a Victorian Steam Engine Brain" cracked me up.
@Sobreiro: A Willie Nelson gorilla. I so dig it.
@Serge: That gorilla is stunning. Excellent job!

More of an idea than a finished anything, but I wanted to toss something in before my schedule overloads this week.

@ Rooth - Brilliant. Just bloody brilliant. Love using all the R/R's in some guide of league series. To me it looks like Gorilla with a human brain is an evil character (maybe with Octopus and Spiderqueen are on his side too). That would be one hell of a comic. We're got a universe of characters here!

    @ ESCgoat - Great spin

@ Kieran - Ha! "Honey monkey!" What's she holding?

Wow! Looks like the Gorilla with a Human Brain has just taken down Hyper the Phenomenal, Lady Fairplay and Atomic Man - all at the same time! Truly brilliant!

All the entries this week have been damn fine (chris g and ESCgoat deserve special mentions, as do frequentcontributor, lordmitz, SJordan and serge, and, well, everybody else): obviously a gorilla that has experienced brain surgery has got everyone's creative juices bubbling!

@ Yoav - She is supposed to hold a glass of "Champagne", but I did this piece in a hurry. I've got this problem between doing nice pictures or telling something.

Hey Ken, I hear ya. I was suggesting that Octopus and spiderqueen are on the evil team. Hyper, Lady and Atomic are good guys. I don't know. Rooth's picture just conjures up that kind of big scale and crazy war epic comic feel!

@ Kieran - Think the pic is great. Thought maybe gorilla was getting into something kinky and electric...

@ Yoav - Just wait for the sequel "Gorilla With A Humain Brain vs. Plastic Duck" ...

And if the Gorilla with a Human Brain decides to use the big-ass bazooka from your pic (I prefer the original colouring of your pic myself, by the way) he'd REALLY make short work of Hyper, Lady, etc!

@ Yoav; I have to go with the majority and say your second one’s tone hits home better with me. I did try to put more energy in this week’s.
@ SJordan; The color ignites the whole scene. The gorilla’s face is beyond awesome.
@ MDominic; You walk the edge, sir, and you do it with brilliance. I’m in love with it.
@Rootfireember; Oh! It just screams. A very violent scream! Very Roman Dirge!
@ struthersneil; Excellent work; I want to know if he does find those bananas and if he dips in their blood.
@ Ken Miller; You’re flirting with danger. You may very well have just opened the doors for a whole slew of Steampunk cyborgs golems.
@ Sobreiro; Very bohemia, very clean, a whole different type of revenge maker.
@ Serge; The face says death, the suit says corporate, there’s a photocopier mentioned, this Jack Castle works in the every day rat race. Superb!
@ Chris G; It was well worth the wait to see. I want to see more, I want to read this book.
@ Rooth; Wow! Just that. Wow! Everything at play here is so detailed. And just knocking out the best of the past few weeks.
@ ESCgoat; Fantastically done, I just dig the fact the brain is its own entity.

Found this in a local paper.

Tight schedule this week, but amazed by the mileage we've gotten out of this concept. Faves this week are Rooth, Chris G, LordMitz, RickiePooh, KenMiller and Haven, but cheers to all!

EDIT: Here's my scribbling/sketch/concept work from last night at the coffee shop.
