I do Celadore over on Zuda. There's two chapters up so far. One is 'The Day Candle' about stopping vampires from living in the sun, and two is 'April May' about capturing a water nymph.

It's about what happens when a centuries old monster hunter, Celadore, stumbles into the lives of two kids, Evelyn (who ends up becoming a part of the order with Cel) and Sam (who gorged himself unknowingly on healing berries for years and has a 'healing factor' as a result) and the madness that ensues.

There's also Wax who turns into animals, a half-breed outcast fairy named Ness, and Jams, Celadore's adopted Frankenstein son.

Chapter 3 begins September 8th. It's a genie story.

Petra’s Call is a flash comic about a young druid girl who will do anything to hear the spirits of the forest so that she can join the war against the cities. When her abilities manifest in an unusual way, they turn out to be more of a curse than a blessing.

It's got girls riding dinosaurs, dinosaurs fighting robots and a healthy splash of teen angst.

It's my own little experiment in online comics - playing with interactivity, pacing and networked story/world information.

I write a weekly updated webcomic with artist Andrew Sides called BORDER CROSSINGS.

BORDER CROSSINGS is a dark marine fantasy where a salvage submarine’s strange crew must redefine freedom for their drowned world. Here are two page examples
(WARNING: may not be work friendly):

If you prefer comparisons it’s Firefly, Labyrinth and Perdido Street Station in a nautical steampunk mash-up. The story is also an allegory for the modern era of globalization.

Venetia Toco falls through a portal to another world in a surfing accident. The place she ends up in is mostly oceanic, with only one remaining island. Strong economic disparity exists between the intelligent marine races and the remaining “air-breathers.” These different ethnicities have one thing in common: they all fetishize artifacts from Earth. Why? Because anything from Earth (bullets, chunks of wood, even human beings) can invoke special powers from ancient symbols called graphemes. Before the undead border patrol can capture her, a cuttlefish-shaped salvage submarine named The Rhizome retrieves Venetia. She joins the ship’s crew of odd displaced beings, led by the provocative radical Captain M.P. Skulker.

I'm producing two webcomics currently:

Over, an edgy romantic comedy online GN...Sort of a cross between "Chasing Amy" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." It tells the story of an indy comic book writer who makes a graphic novel recounting every painful detail of a failed relationship. Convinced he’s created a work of staggering relevance and romantic brilliance, he expects the book to bring him fame, fortune, a visit to Oprah’s couch, and possibly even his ex back. Unfortunately, the graphic novel is completely unpublishable, and threatens to destroy his other relationships, career, and chance at finding love again.

Recommended for Mature Readers. (We'll take the immature as well.)

Since last time Warren started a this thread (and then very kindly mentioned my comic on Warrenellis.com) I've gotten a ton of traffic that has helped inspire me to up my output to about a page a week. Nathan Sorry is now up to page 21. It's about a guy who should have been in the World Trade Center on 9/11 but instead manages to disappear with a new identity and a lot of stolen money. It's a story about identity, adultery, paranoia, murder and lots of other things. Here's some sample pages:

Shades is a story which looks at how superheroes might be if they existed in the UK (rather than being permanently stationed in New York!) We've tried to do it without spoofing the genre or simply taking a group of US style heroes and dressing them in the Union flag. Spanning some 5,000 years of British history, the story also examines the nature of the British national character.

Hi we do 2 webcomics that are both vaguely based on the Lovecraft mythos, but with a twisted comedic slant, and are both hosted at http://www.onezumi.com. The first comic is called "Stupid and Insane Defenders Against Chaos", which details the exploits of a group of incompetent heroes defending their universe against their evil alternates--> with the following as an example:

And the second is "My Annoying Life", which stars the same characters and universe, but examines what insanity happens at Onezumi's workplace when it's filled with incompetent evil.

This is a comic I'm only webmastering (the artist, Ronald Russell Roach, is in Copenhagen and tends to not prowl the internets as much as I). So hope nobody minds me posting for him here:

Webcomic is ARMAGEDDONQUEST, which was actually a comix series very, very, very limited-ly published in the 80's and 90's. It's 20 Books and 850+ pages in all. The whole epic is complete and man, having read the whole thing, I can say it is truly something unique.

I've gone back to the Moebius/ Bode/Heavy Metal tree which spawned me so many years ago...and loving every minute of it.

My name's Rob Turner, I'm the writer/producer of Reynard City(www.reynardcity.co.uk) the first Polycomical comic.

We're currently working on a cartoon pilot based on the comic, which is kind of full circle for the comic, as it's like a surreal version of your classic cartoons, kind of like Thundercats meets Samurai Pizza Cats via Swat Kats...but with foxes.

The plot is simple- A group of superhero foxes ( Caramel allergic psychic AK Girl, neurotic workaholic Wondervixen and would-be tough guy Hyper Rob) fight off Mega Fox and his robot army, Caramel Girl and a vicious gang of ex-caterers, while at the same time dealing with their own inner issues.

It's a fun webcomic, full of twists and turns. The artwork is supervised by Dan Butcher of Retake fame, and we have a variety of artists, writers and other creative wizzkids who have all contributed.

A two-part prologue sets the scene and shows the storm, almost like a silent movie. Wow, there's already some nice-looking stuff up here. Egypt, that looks awesome.

As for myself: This week I'll be uploading page 40 of Gang of Fools at Gang of Fools dot com, which ends this first story. And holy shit am I ready to move on to the next one. Shorter stories from now on, and possibly a move to landscape format.

Some of you may have passed my table at MoCCA without buying the above Gang of Fools "paper trailer," and I can only assume that was an innocent oversight on your part. You can make it up to yourself by popping on over and reading the whole thing online.

Gang of Fools has a growing cast, but revolves mainly around the financial woes of Aditi Rai, skateboard messenger in a futuristic world only slightly more stupid than our own. Do stop by. Bring whiskey.

My main comic is The Cattle Raid of Cooley, my adaptation of an ancient Irish story. It's set in the Iron Age, when Medb, queen of Connacht, stages an invasion of Ulster, opposed by the teenage Ulster hero Cú Chulainn. It's up to 46 pages and has gone on a temporary summer hiatus while I work up a bit of a backlog of pages, but in the meantime, you can read the prequel, Ness, about Cú Chulainn's grandmother in her younger days, and I'm filling in time by serialising Under the Bed, a minicomic I did back in 1994.

Oh, and if I may say so, Five Glasses of Absinthe looks gorgeous.

The Lungs of the World is an experimental webcomic. I always knew I couldn't draw, but I wanted to find out just how badly I couldn't draw. I started with a stack of comic book backing boards and a box of art supplies. When I was done, I threw in some collage to make it look nice and wrote a story around the result. I still have to write the second half, so I'm not entirely sure how it's going to turn out. I can't wait to find out.

Four pages every Friday, the comic runs until Christmas (I like a story with an ending). It can be found here and the print version runs a week behind with creator's commentary.

Lots of wonderful looking stuff. Going to have to bookmark this and waste half a day reading way too much.

I do a twice weekly strip called Milo the Cloud. It updates on Mondays and Thursdays, and is sometimes a gag a day, sometimes gag+storyline. It follows Milo (the cloud), his friend Hank (a balloon, who recently found out he is covered in kevlar and therefore nigh-indestructible), a cardinal named Lou (who is a cross between Woodstock and Jason Bourne), and a rather pensive teen named Eva (who likes to climb watertowers, and finds herself talking to clouds, who talk back to her surprise).

LIFESPAN
In an alternate reality Los Angeles where money has been done away with and the estimated human life expectancy is now used as currency. When someone spends all of their “life span” they are taken to a discontinuation facility and terminated. People no longer trade dollars for necessities and wants, instead they trade years, months, days, hours and minutes of human life for things money once bought. People no longer work for money, but instead to live.

My wife and I collaborate on the weekly BEST MANN FOR THE JOB, a serial drama about a woman with a complicated past (including an embarrassing stint as a lady pro wrestler) who returns home to be the small town's new sheriff. We aspire to the style of the classic continuity comic strips, with the crime-bustin' chops of a rural Dick Tracy, the small-town charm of Gasoline Alley, and the emotional touches of The Heart of Juliet Jones. I draw, and my boyfriend writes, a comic called Alienated. It follows an alien who was raised away from normal society by the government. The funding is cut for his program after public interest in him drops significantly. He's forced out into the real world, to find a job, and to meet people who aren't being paid to be around him. It's basically a story about a 30-something man-child, who happens to be a green tentacle-armed alien, trying to find his place in the world.

I've promoted my horror anthology, Split Lip, here a few times before. We'd been on hiatus stockpiling stories for a lot of this year, but as of about three weeks ago, Split Lip is back with the first of 7 new stories.

The story, The Cousin of Death, is written by me and drawn by UK artist Gary Crutchley. Below are the first two pages from it. Click to read the story (11 pages posted so far; updates on Sundays). It's our 25th story to date and will push us to close to 300 pages of horror comics.

Following that, we've got new stories from Anthony Perruzo (multiple stories at Zuda), Sami Makkonen (Deadworld: Slaughterhouse, Blue), Jason Ho (Agnes Quill), and what I believe is the first published comic from my friend, neighbor, and colleague, the painter Josie Morway.

I'm in the middle of Vol. 2 of Conny Van Ehlsing, Monster Hunter. Conny is a first-grader whose destiny and mission is to fight monsters, goblins, dragons and whatever's under her bed these days.

However, they are not the only ones interested in Zed’s soul.

Zed is being hunted by an ancient race of spider-like beings and their legion of zombies. Under the orders of the necromancer, Baron Astor, they are to bring Zed’s soul back to Astor so he can finalize his heinous plot, the eradication of his enemies souls with an ancient device known as the soul scorcher.

I'm the co-creator of Eben07 - a comic about the Intelligence Cleaner Agency, whose primary mission is to ensure that all covert intelligence operations and operatives remain classified through disposal of all potential security leaks. This can include disposal of the bodies of henchmen, bodyguards, rogue military forces, evacuation and removal of facilities, documentation and people in covert action areas. Each of our agents has an Assigned Secret Agent (ASA) and follows this agent and removes all critical materials that could expose the covert operation and/or operatives.

Each Operation is like an Episode, a standalone series - describing the mop and bucket adventures that occur after the cloak and dagger adventures. Espionage, humor and adventure.

However, there is an overarching plotline following the title character, Eben07, a field operative of the I.C.A. who is wrapped up in a much more convoluted story involving his nearly 300 year old great grandfather who founded the I.C.A. and discovered the Shot Heard Round the World.

We just started releasing a new series called Operation: 3-Ring Bound -- the first comic is a great primer on all things 07

Our last completed story was: Operation Mongoose which told the tale of the I.C.A. founder, Abel, being asked by John F. Kennedy to step out of his role as director of espionage waste management and assassinate Cuban President Fidel Castro. Little did Abel know at the time, this operation would be one that would haunt him for his whole life.

We release weekly on Tuesday and try to have daily blogs and story supplements throughout the week.

I'm writing the Great Game, an on-going webcomic/RPG cross-over. After each installment of the story, a poll gives you a choice of options for the narrator. You tell me what you want to happen, and then once the votes are in, I write up the result of the most popular choice. As you can imagine, this means I have very little control over where the story is going, which makes it kinda fun!

The Great Game is updated three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, a few hours after voting closes for the previous installment. It's currently on Round 8, so catching up won't take long, if you want to do so.

Greetings all. Looks like there's indeed something for everyone just in this thread, much less webcomics as a whole.

I'm Matt Maxwell, and I write a webcomic/graphic novel series called STRANGEWAYS. It looks like this. It's western and horror, which has become kind of a weird little genre all of its own (but then again, haven't they all?) New pages go up starting again in September, over at Robot 6/Comic Book Resources. Here's the link. During August, I'm running pages from the first STRANGEWAYS OGN in place of the current story. Juggling schedules is evidently beyond me. Updates on MWF. Three chapters out of five posted.

STRANGEWAYS is the story of ex-Union officer Seth Collins who's wandering the haunted frontier of the United States after the Civil War. He starts out looking for his estranged sister, but then he realizes that he's looking for something else entirely, and finding plenty of trouble along the way.

That's art from the current storyline called "The Thirsty." Art by Gervasio and Jok.

This is a page from the backup story. The vampires in Strangeways don't mess around. They happily burn churches and then skip town. This story will probably run online, but I'm not positive of that yet.

Hi kids. I'm Pj, and I write stuff. But for some reason, I decided to also draw (and letter, and color) this here webcomic called "The Utopian." It's updated twice weekly, and it's basically what would happen if you took Millar/Romita's "Kick Ass" and replaced all the ass-kicking with talking. Because, like Chris Claremont before me, I love the shit out of dialog. And it helps cover up my sophomoric art. But here's a sample of a page in which some action actually comes down the pipe:

I like to think of Power Out, a webcomic I do for the website Act-I-Vate, as a hybrid of Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore and Dan Clowes' Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron.

Fourteen and friendless, Justin doesn't want to run away from his family - he wants them to run away from him. A massive, extended power out grants him his wish, but without the video game he counts as his only friend, Justin is forced to interact with a world he has always preferred ignoring. As he figures out how to survive in his seemingly quaint New England suburb, Justin encounters a unique collection of friends and tormentors, including a brazen young neighbor uninhibited by her inability to speak English, a dead woman who cheerfully haunts his wet dreams, and the eccentric holdouts in a town that has been evacuated by the military.

DIN KRAKATAU is a comic I just updated (today) with new, re-lettered and edited pages. This is the final COLOR version of the work and as such I don't plan any further pages.

I'd put it somewhere in the action/adventure box (with elements of horror, sf and fantasy).

Mere Mortal is about a guy in a world where everyone has superpowers except him. The art is by my partner in crime Chris Johnson. It has super powered strippers.

Night Life is run as a webcomic, prose short stories on Blogger and a story done on Twitter (Which I will probably never ever do again because it was colossal pain in the ass.) It's set in a world were you have weird sciend, mystic horror shenanagans and superheroes all running about doing the sorts of things such folks do.

I'd post some art, but I'm packing for Chicago and probably don't even have time to post this, but I did anyhow.

I've just launched November Shift: seven students at the Goddard School of Astronautical Engineering aboard Strongwater Station in the year 2118 are tied together by their assignment to the November (or N) Shift for scavenging duty. Scavenging is a brand of work-study job wherein students retrieve and catalog space junk for the dual purpose of recycling precious metals and equipment as well as decluttering the low Earth orbit environment, which is becoming dangerously congested with debris.

Launch consisted of a seven page prequel story, and Book One will start next Thursday night (NS updates Thursday nights). Though the prequel is in monochrome, the comic is full colour. If you like your science fiction with a healthy servings of character drama, technology based in current science, theory, and idea, and semi-realism, November Shift is right up your alley (((:

I do a webcomic called Things Change: The Metamorphoses Comic. I just hit my third anniversary yesterday with other 320 pages published to date. My comic does not have superheroes, zombies, ninjas, monsters, or large breasted women in skimpy outfits. It's not fantasy, autobiography, horror, or sci-fi. I'm not sure what it is, in webcomics directory I end up having to call it "experiemental". I use Ovid's Metamorphoses as a structural conceit. It's a lot about me experimenting with formal elements of comics (style, color, layouts, pacing, etc.). My next chapter (up Sept 1) is a hypercomic (where you click on panels to move through the non-linear narrative). Sometimes it's a sequence of short stories, sometimes it's longer narratives, things are always changing.

Here are two pages from the most recent book (which is done in a four panel strip format, previous books were done as regular portrait pages or landscape pages), one is the first page of the most recent story, the other is about 80 pages later.

So it's a SPACE OPERA, starring a bounty hunter, an engineer, and sometimes a weapons expert and their exploits into a universe where time has become irrelevant thanks to being able to travel at the speed of light in space ships moddified out of space creatures that are kind of like sea life... except in space... yeah.

A new web comic born out of Madbastard's Hypersite entitled Project Menagerie. It's just started, but it updates every Monday.

There's a lot of bad things going on in the world, I don't have to tell you that. There's terrorism, the war on terror, crime, the war on drugs, nuclear proliferation, failed states, human trafficking, illegal immigration, resource depletion, global climate change and Michael Vick. Perhaps worst of all, all of these things seem to tie into one another, feeding one another like some unholy Ouroboros that's grown so large and so vast that you can't tell how it all connects and without being able to see the whole picture, the odds of solving any of it are next to none.

But what if, as impossible as it may seem, things were worse? What if you were blind, amnesiac, and in the hands of hostile, selfish men? Well, that would suck, wouldn't it? So let's balance things out. Let's give you a couple of friends who you can trust implicitly who are in this shitstorm with you. Add in some augmented abilities, boosted attributes that make you nearly superhuman. Throw on top of that a secret cabal of scientists who have bartered away pieces of your humanity to make you weapons for trade and sale.

OK, that last one's not a bonus, but what you've got when you put them all together is Project Menagerie the latest comic written by Matthew McLean with art by Hamza Pecenkovic and web design by BJ Highfield. With the Project will be exploring those big problems that we're all afraid to look at, taking on the ones to big to be solved by violence in a world that knows nothing but, fighting against men who want nothing more to keep things the way they are because it enriches them, empowers them, or maybe it just amuses them.
