    Vancouver-based start-up firm General Fusion is currently raising funds to build a (relatively) low-cost, (relatively) low-tech fusion reactor based on a concept called Magnetized Target Fusion. The proposed reactor would be starting a fusion reaction via a shock wave generated by 220 steam-powered pistons. can a fusion reactor be any more steampunk than that?
