This week I started learning to drive on the road. I've had four hours of lessons and I'm making good progress. Going climbing later for the first time in ages. Can't wait and I think I'll try and pick up Frankenstein's Womb while I'm in town. Oh and a hair band so I don't have to tie my hair back at the climbing wall.
I do like how it shows the various Angels being all contemplative and then finishes on Kait, who looks like she's about to get up in someones face about something.
Feeling good - two weeks 'till I shake off the dust of this one horse town and jet off to lands foreign. And now a beautiful series of splashes to start the weekend. Thanks all.
Mornin' Last day of work before a week long whirlwind multi-wedding vacation. Beautiful splash's, love the quiet contemplation from all the FA. Beautiful as always. ~Fred
Morning, all! It's been a good week. And this was a lovely and intriguing way to start off Friday. That last page leads to so many possibilities. The silence (except for KK) and the big open splashes really set the tone. I'll have to go back and stare at those pages in admiration later.
Arkady's expression, though touch to see, is perfect. I'm pretty sure KK says exactly what Arkady is thinking. The Sirkka/Jack and Caz/Miki panels were particularly heart-rending, for me. Especially Miki's body expression. Great job, art unit.
@JonCarpenter - I'm sure if we see a dog, it will only be Warren can have somebody kick it in the ribs.
after the 14 hour drive to chicago and draggin our exhausted asses around the convention floor for last night's preview, I'm up early and excited about the Avatar panel today! met William, Mike Wolfer, and Jacen Burrows last night. All great guys, friendly as hell, and as excited to be representing Avatar as I am to have an entire giganto-booth of comics and trades and splurg on! I love this week!
and wouldn't you know it, but the first week I'm required to read FA on my netbook, we're treated to 6 spectacular splash pages that I have to appreciate 1/3 at a time... but I do get to appreciate all the glorious detail, esp in Sirkka's room.
story-wise, I'm grateful for this pause. I'm glad we get to see everyone contemplating the huge decision that they're about to make, rather than just skipping to the inevitable argument. and the pairing up of the Freakangels is telling as well, esp the opening with Karl and Arkady.
and as for the lead up to next week.... the last panel says: "Remember, boys and girls, Policewoman Kait is busy, busy." How quickly this Luke situation has overshadowed the Whitechapel Murderer.
I might as well be eating McDonalds, I'm lovin' it so much!
hey, its been a crap week for me. on monday i found out my little dog has serious kidney problems, the vet has given him about 2 months.
on a lighter note, FA this week has left me with even more questions waiting to be answered, and done with only a very little bit of speach! this is why i love it!
Bonjour Mademoiselle Ariana. This week has been good. My father started to play the mandolin again. He hadn't played music since my mom died last february, so I guess it's good news.
