Just bought tickets to see Roger Waters do The Wall in May. Not my favorite Pink Floyd album but it's the closest I'll come to seeing them in concert.

I'm off to see Devin Townsend tomorrow, Smashing Pumpkins on Saturday and Dimmu Borgir on Monday. I may die of over-gigging.

I love flannel, and wear it, too. It was the combination of the look that did it for me. Flannel, beanie, a very specific style of glasses, and a tall can of PBR (though not many beards, actually). It was like if grunge became hipster. I'm not trying to shit on the people, it just wasn't quite the look I was expecting when I went since all my personal friends that are Boris fans tend to sport the more traditional metal look.

Actually I don't tend to associate beards with any type of music style, come to think of it.

My mindless self indulgence ticket arrived today. Not til march, -- two days after my 31st birthday!

i've been seeing msi since they played in bars, so seeing them headline a full theater venue now is awesome to me.

Saw Dessa last night. It was fun and likely one of the first signs of her impending rise to...well, if not stardom, then Rhymesayers at least.

You might say dude has NO IDEA of that venerable Florida label.

Spent Saturday night down in Brixton watching an indie kid's dream lineup

    Frank & Walters
    Sultans of Ping FC
    Carter USM

Great night and I think we almost drank the bar dry.

saw Russian Circles last night at the Troubadour. they were as great as I was hoping they would be live.

Marriages opened up for them and I thought they were great too. I never heard of them before, so I looked them up and I guess it's two members of Red Sparowes. apparently it was one of their first live shows last night.

Just finished watching THE MENZINGERS play their set at an arena. they had great energy.

Some boring Victory band comes on before RISE AGAINST, so I'm reading Labyrinths to pass the time.

I saw Lamb of God last night. My neck is complaining from headbanger's whiplash. I am punching it to keep it silent.

Lamb of God, at the Phoenix (Toronto), Jan. 27, 2012

Last week I saw Anamanaguchi, and two weeks before that was The Creepshow/The Dreadnoughts/The Brains.

    It's been an awesome January.

I have free tickets to Hammerfest. It's a metal festival at Pontins in North Wales. It'll be odd seeing anthrax in a holiday park!

got to see Tim Hecker preform all of Ravedeath, 1972 on Sunday night. It was really cool feeling the reverb through my entire body.

It the second half of a classical performance, with as you would expect, elderly abound. It was entertaining watching them scurry away from Tim Hecker's cacaphony.

I'm still kicking myself for not going to see Magrudergrind last time they toured the UK.

Alestorm at the Green Star somewhere in the depths of Burslem on Sunday.
