    Warren, you must have been one of the customers (or the possessing spirit thereof) who came into the record store (when I was working at one in college) who would smoke clove cigarettes in the back corner of the store and laugh at me when I had to sell Phil Collins and Sade records to people. Well, I was also the one who put on the cool stuff over the store system when the yuppies left, so that makes me cool too, right?

    Great jukebox so far, keep 'em coming.

    oh man.
    as much as i loved the wall of noise of early Swans i always absolutely adored late period cheesy goth Swans. The Burning World & White Light From The Mouth of Infinity are great albums. An amalgam of Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy and Leonard Cohen.

    That Joy Division post made me go looking for a song that turns out to be "The Captain and Tenille Meet Joy Division" by goofy Boston '80s band the Swinging Erudites. It almost sounds like Michael Gira singing it. Sadly, it's not online but the Swinging Erudites have a MySpace page.

    My favorite Czukay project was the "Plight and Premonition" album that he did with David Sylvian in 1988. I was house sitting out in the country and that was one of the CDs out there. It just filled this huge art-filled house with an ambient wash and I loved it. Really fit with the remoteness of the location.
