@oga you mention Zenith reprints and Mazeworld. I believe that Mazeworld was one of the early creator owned strips, so there may be something in that.

Speaking of creator rights, that's the main reason the Zenith isn't available - Grant disputes the contract that it was written under, similar to the disputes that have kept Alan Moore away from 2000ad and have left Halo Jones at just the three books, despite original plans for more.

    Profile 3
    Earthlet Warren Ellis
Has no difficulty obtaining 2000AD in his area, Benfleet, Essex, despite not having a regular order. Warren is thirteen years old and would like to buy model asembly kits of the 2000AD heroes, as well as joining a Judge Dredd fan club. He also puts a Judge Dredd uniform at the top of his items for sale list, but rates the Tharg mask a lowly sixth place."

I find it funny and a little bizarre to imagine a 13 year old Warren Ellis. What awful things that young boy must've witnessed to result in his present state of mind. We must travel back in time immediately to save him so he can live a wholesome and care-free life!

Obviously the lack of 2000AD character model kits is some kind of factor. Action figures just aren't the same...

Ian Gibson was selling off sketches of Halo Jones on eBay from a supposedly new Halo Jones story last year, I think.

Gibson was quite closely involved with the creation of the first three books, and has recently (i.e. a couple of years ago) been pitching a continuation / conclusion of the story to Rebellion (owners of 2000ad). It seems to have been dismissed along the same lines that following it up with any other writer would be...
