Yeah... "the Flamingo", as a name, has got to be one of the dodgiest ever. But there are already quality entries coming in - I particularly like afua's spec-ops emosoldier & robot9000's plane - a tricked out P-38? Love it!

Last time, I swore I'd enter the next R/R, but I have NO idea what I'm going to do with this...

@ pauljholden; It really has a Tick quailty to it. I could see him in a brawl with a big Nazi Eagle man so easily. Very nice pose work.

@ struthersneil; Beside the killer costume work, that plane... if that doesn't scream to be animated then I don't know what does. I love it.

    @ mushi; really superb work.

@ Andre Navarro; Hit it straight out of the park. Just damn, old son.

@ Kozmund; That's the time period, that's the right look and I could see some rogue military WWII'er running around with that plush hat on. By the end of the tale, the hat would be shredded by bullets but he'd still pick it up then plant it on his noggin.

@ afua richardson; I caught the note from Warren disclaimer in your post prior to the art. I think the work is outstanding. Certainly the use of the Flamingo as a tat.

@ Rootfireember; That is beautiful. It suits any direction.

@ robot9000; You're in my brain down to the gas mask being turned into a mask. Outstanding take. I want more.

@ Aurora Borealis; Oh, you are one of the reasons I look forward to Ellis's remake threads. I just love the use of wings on the mask. So fluid a piece.

A lover, a war criminal, a man in a wicker hat: it's The Flamingo.

    The Flamingo
So this is how I started my morning, plotting the fabulous adventures of the closeted Colonel Moore Williams and what a cool comic it would be. I was wringing my hands as I considered how I could convince publishers that this really IS the future of comics: pink, sequined and fierce. As I painted down the lines I felt myself growing excited over the idea of such a campy, fun character for the community, streaking against the night sky in his neon pink jet. But then, as it typically goes, I finished, he came, and we were left wondering what we were thinking and both a little confused about our sexuality.

The Flamingo likes his pants like he likes his women: Tight and leathery.

viol8tor: Upload it somewhere like photobucket. Right click on the picture after it's uploaded, click on Properties. There will be a big, garble-y looking URL, copy that. Come back here and type <img src="PASTE YOUR URL HERE"/> . Make sure that the box below is clicked--the one that says, "Format comments as * Html"

Hope this made sense because I want to see your drawing.
