Went out for a good five hour long walk at the outdoor mall place last weekend. Plenty of lovely photos were taken.



This couple I noticed waaaaay far off in a landscapey photo I'd taken earlier... I vowed to stop them and get a picture then and there. They were happy to oblige, and I got a shot on their own camera as well... apparantly it was some school dance night or something.

I've got a LX2 that I haven't used since I bought a DSLR, but having something small enough to put in a pocket is really nice (even though I always have my DSLR with an old 55mm lens with me in my bag). Not sure what you mean about DOF issues, especially with the Dlux 4, which opens all the way up to f2.0, allowing for a very shallow DOF. I couldn't find a shot at that aperture, but here's a shot of the GF taken at f2.6, a straight-from-the-camera JPEG:
