New Mountain Goats! - I haven't got a chance to fully absorb it yet as they've always been a band where the lyrics are more important than the music to me, but there's no noticable drop in quality so far. It's got a Get Lonely feel to it.

New Lucero! - I've listened to this a bunch of times and it's really great. Catchy rockers and heartfelt slower numbers. They're a band that can develop their sound without losing the core of what makes them great.

The Gateway District - This album seemed pretty decent at first, but the more I listen to it the better it gets. The Soviettes were a good band but I think I prefer these guys.

Stiff Little Fingers - I still think Inflammable Material is the best punk album of the initial crop of 77-79 UK punk.

I used to be a loser who copied her brother's cds, yes.)
Caestles- We Have Built A New God (I can never remember who posted the download, and preliminary searching for the thread has failed, but I had to d/l it again to replace a scratched copy. Love it.)

And I experimented w/ looking though this Wikipedia category and downloading albums that looked interesting. Ended up w/, so far:
Defiance, Ohio- The Fear, The Fear, The Fear (Got a good chance to listen to it on the way home from work. File quality from the free d/l sucks, but the music is a lot better than I expected. It's going on my "to buy when I have money" list.)
Girl Talk- Feed The Animals (Way late on this. Interesting listen, nothing I'd play everyday, though.)
Harvey Danger- Little by Little... (I loved "Flagpole Sitta" when it was popular. This is good, too. Still need to finish a full listen-through.)
