A lot of what's listed falls outside the range, so to speak (not that this is a bad thing). What I'm looking for is stuff that falls into the range of Grendel, E-Craft, Rotersand, Run Level Zero, God Module, Aphemia and Angelspit. (And yet for some reason I don't like Combichrist. Anyway.)
Aslan Faction? Informatik? Project Pitchfork? Are those along the lines you mean? I used to spin the shit out of God Module-- Headscan and Aslan Faction mix really well with GM. Revolver1010 are good along those lines, too.
Some albums that I've recently enjoyed: Project.E.V.A.'s "Shake my pain" Dolls of Pain's "Slavehunters"; they also have a new remix album downloadable for free. Didn't like it as much, though. Plasmodivm's "Paradise under Fire" Jabberwock's "Sweet Limbo" Stahlschlag's "Antropocene" Phosgore's "Domination" [syndika:zero]'s "Blindness" I spent most of last week lopping Ext!ze "FallOut Nation", which is mostly, I guess, some kind of trance industrial. I'll definitively second Jeremiah on C/A/T.
On a more electro-ish note, I usually find that anything that comes out on the Ad Noiseam label is worth listening to; they had a couple recent releases, like Raoul Sinier's "Tremens industry".
@ Apefist: Yep, those are along the lines. I have a lot of Informatik and PP, not so much Aslan Faction though; I shall explore. Never met Headscan or Revolver1010...
Whenever I'm searching for new music, I pull out my iPhone and use the Pandora Radio app to create a new channel based on the the kind of music that I want. Recently I put in a search for new electro with a fast BPM (for bicyling to) based on Calvin Harris as a jumping-off point, and came down with these two CDs which I've been enjoying (neither of which seems to have broken in the US, though both have charted in Europe):
Sorry if any of these were already mentioned and I missed it.
Fixmer McCarthy - great freaking album featuring vocalist from Nitzer Ebb Necessary Reponse - This is my favorite band from recent years, fan-freaking-tastic. Been enjoying Assemblage 23 very much lately as well.
@WilliamZombie: Thanks SO much for the mention of the Fixmer/McCarthy album! That slipped past me, and I just picked up the first one and a few tracks off the most recent one on iTunes; EXCELLENT STUFF. Man, I really miss having a local record store to shoot the shit and find out about stuff in this way.
