    In the week I decide to contribute a 'gassy ring' joke T-Shirt design to the R/R thread... Pia goes and produces a wonderful pic - and then Ben Templesmith decides to join in - and then ryankelly hits it out the park! I promise to do a 'proper' illo next week!

    Astounding set of images to follow, holy damn.

    So, per my usual attempt to break the concept as much as possible, I tried to envision a lithe, flowery looking maiden with something other than a ring on her finger. Neck rings and the Karen tribes people of Myanmar served as an inspiration, and so...

    I've been doing Dr. Suess themed paintings for my roommate's brother's baby's bathroom (whew...), and so I've been re-creating some of the book pages. Just felt like playing around with the Suess style, although it is difficult to think how he would have, obviously... Fun, anyway...

    There's a Beta fish variation known as a Black Orchid, so I went the Underwater way :

    I worked on a "visible gaz" version, but my photoshop skills are pretty much limited to Image cropping. The result sucked so much I had astrophysicians coming to my house, wondering about the black hole-like readings they were getting.

    This remake/remodel has started in a very impressive way...
    @Ben Templesmith : Since the beginning of the Remakes, I was hoping for the appearance of two artists who had a past/present history with Mr. Ellis (the other being Stuart Immonen - one can wish...). Hell, I got to play on the same court as Ben Templesmith?! This is exhilarating, I feel honored...
