Right now I'm listening to a lot of High Wolf. My last.fm scrobbler's been choking, so apparently my Top Artists of the last seven days looks like:
1 Fuck Buttons 31 2 Zola Jesus 30 3 Saturn Finger 29 4 High Wolf 26 5 The Black Heart Procession 22 6 Nudge 19 7 Vowels 11 8 The Minimal Militant 6 8 My Bloody Valentine 6 8 múm 6 11 Explorers 3 12 baroquedub 2 13 Steely Dan 1 13 Clorinde 1 13 Yeah Yeah Yeahs 1
Fuck Buttons are great. I recently lost my iPod BUT I FOUND IT AGAIN TODAY HOORAY, so now I'll be listening to Sweet Love for Planet Earth on the bus home.
Aside from that I'm currently playing Oceansize's cover of Walking in the Air, which is absolutely epic and puts a stupid grin on my face. I recently bought Mastadon's Crack the Skye and am loving that. Pelican's The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw is a personal favourite, and Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion is always close by if I want to jump around a bit. And at the end of the day me and my girlfriend tend to zone out to either Mogwai's Zidane Soundtrack, or Sigur Ros' ( ).

pretty much can't get that Bibio - Ambivalence Avenue record out of heavy rotation but I have been spicing it up with the Burial & Four Tet collaboration which has one of the better beat reveals this year and the new Shahs which I have been quite enjoying along with High Wolf's "Animal Totem" and Sun Araw's "Heavy Deeds".
DUNGEN: 4 BILL EVANS TRIO: Sunday at the Village Vanguard TAKEN BY TREES: Open Field SLAYER: Seasons in the Abyss GRINDERMAN: Grinderman THE BEATLES: For Sale
Yes, I am hideously late to the conversation, but I finally got a copy of Merriweather Post Pavilion. Haven't listened to Animal Collective before, being frightened away by their experimental tendencies. But this stuff is great. 'My Girls' is just glorious. I get what our Internet Jesus is saying about them. Personally, I can handle the sugariness. Listening to Los Campesinos! gives you a pretty good vaccination.
Speaking of which, those guys have a new band-member called Kim and a new single called 'The Sea Is A Good Place To Think Of The Future'. Bit stadium rock-y. But in a good way.
