(This post may well attract the ire of the Powers that Be, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. Let's see if we can turn it into a discussion worth having rather than the load of drivel it could so easily become...)

OK, let's assume that through some strange sorcery you've managed to convince Warren that you can make a FreakAngels movie or TV series that won't be some kind of hideous abortion, and he's given you his mighty and terrifying blessing. The question is, who would you cast in your production?

To prevent this thread descending into a banal list of names that will get itself swiftly killed (assuming it's permitted to proceed at all) there are some ground rules. You don't need to come up with an actor for every single character, the idea is to name one or two who you think might work. And once you've suggested someone, for the love of sanity provide a reason why you think they'd work. Also, we'll assume you have a time machine so you can abduct your cast from any point in their career (just so we don't have to worry about casting 35 year olds as 23 year olds...)

Personally I have just two suggestions. Firstly I think that Pauley Perette (best known from NCIS) might play a decent KK. If she proved capable of dropping the whole kooky/perky/irritating goth thing, I suspect she'd be able to pull off the required combination of cool indifference and unpredictable outbursts of violence. She also has a vague facial resemblance, which helps.

Secondly I'd suggest Canadian actress Alisen Down (fairly obscure but had a recurring character in Battlestar Galactica) as Kait. Kait seems to have a certain deliberate stillness about her which is something Alisen seems to pull off pretty well in most of what I've seen her in. Again there's also a vague facial resemblance.

I await others' suggestions. Or the arse-eels.
