    Shitbiscuits is my new favorite word.

    Are there two bullets left in that gun, or three?

    Kait is being mindblocked!! It is as bad as we thought. Is this arc going to end with the revelation of our so far unseen antagonist?

    Things are well with me. So far, I have not given my new boss the double finger and quit. So, still employed. YAY!

    Does seem that Kait is being blocked, indeed. Spyed upon, too - or I assume so from the fish-eye lens perpsective at the end of the last episode. Could this be Mark, then? Masking himself from the other Freakangels, too, perhaps, if he's able to block their communication. Or just blocking Kait from detecting whoever is spying.

    And is Luke controlling the movement of the bullet with his mind (the purple trail)? Impressive for something moving at that speed. Sweet.

    Just don't fuck with Kait, Mr Ellis, please; she's my favourite!!

    I've been saying "Arsebiscuits" for some years. Might have to upgrade.

    @cjtremlett - I count four bullets left:
    "Eight in the chamber and one up the snout" to start;
    two into Luke;
    two into Kirk; and
    one Freak-guided missile to take down KK's bike-copter.

    So, we have an unknown killer (and, perhaps, his mentor) on the loose in Whitechapel; Kirk down; Kait partially shielded (she couldn't quite hear Miki); and a maddened Luke running around with four bullets and Freak powers. And imminent shit-biscuits for KK.

    Things are getting interesting. I'm very curious to when Mark is going to show his face. Beyond that I'm just enjoying the ride.

    I am missing being able to join in on Saturday nights though. And whatever complaints I had about the Fresno scene no longer stand because at least they had a scene. I have a feeling I'm going to have to create my own or something.

    Ariana: I have felt your withrdrawl pains. I was without internet from Monday til about ten minutes ago. Just in time to check out this week's... oh. Oh fuck. This should get interesting.

    Theory: KK suddenly learns that she can fly without aid of a bike-copter. Wishful thinking, I know.

    Oh dear.
    I imagine there's some evil hand-wringing behind this. I also believe you left out the "MOOHOOHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!" at the end.

    Anyway. Great episode this week.

    I could easily be wrong but I don't think Kait's being "mind-blocked" by anyone but Kait. Remember that Kait customarily goes "shielded." Presumably she's shielded now. Unforunately, shielding seems to work like radio silence. Nobody can pick up her transmissions, but she's not able to easily pick up other people's transmissions either.

    Given that I put greasy fingerprints all over my new phone, while in wolfing lunch in a Tesco car park in Coventry, in my haste to read this week's, it's safe to say I'm now hooked. HAR! Yeah, really good.

    It's a mix of 'all's well' and 'shitbiscuits' with me right now. But it's a healthy mix, so mustn't grumble. Although I had to go through Warwick Services today, that normally freaks me out but today it was like being in a living Ralph Steadman drawing, those people there should not have been anatomically possible. It's all too much and I'm going to need whisky to deal.

    Welcome Polipo.
    Warren, thank you, you wonderful bastard. I keep waiting for someone to die, because I know it's going to happen eventually, but I don't want any of them to. (Well, Luke, yes, but he's interesting at this point, so it can be delayed.) Thank you for being so perfectly cruel with the suspense. I'd second the request to not kill Kait, but I know you'll do it anyway if that's what your story needs.

    Paul, again, I can only praise. Really beautiful work, Freak Angels is going to be a wonderful tribute to your growing, though already plentiful, talent. Your art is a joy to experience every week. Thank you.

    I can't believe I get to enjoy this for free... course I buy it anyway, because it is worth it to own a copy. Someday my addiction to books may lessen, but I doubt it.
    Kait's own shielding is going to get her in serious trouble if Mark is really around, but it may also save her from his powers just a little. However, they aren't going to be able to count on her against Luke. KK should be able to find a way to survive, since she's a Freak Angel, unless Luke interferes more. Someone really needs to knock that prick down and keep him that way.

    Shitbiscuits...i may have to use this word more often now.
  9.  (6865.33)
    Oh... shitbiscuits.
  10.  (6865.34)
    Wow. Just when you think you've got it figured out who to worry about, the tables are turned again. Or another table is put on top of the previous table... Or something...

    So, Kirk appears to be in deep shit first. But wait! He doesn't get killed (yet) and now it looks like Kait is in more danger! But wait again! Kait doesn't get killed (yet), but now KK is in peril! This arc is a page turner, that's for sure.

    Great work all around, once again.

    Luke's a bit of a jerk, isn't he? My new turtle wants to eat Luke. He just told me this.

    Had to rush the wife off to the ER late last night. All's well now, but now I feel a bit like a truck hit me.

    I have to agree with the people who've voiced amazement or dismay that KK would be up in the air in that thingy during this weather at all. On the other hand, the artwork with the rain sluicing off the blades as they spin is just ... words fail.

    Luke is now, I believe, fully proven a twat of the lowest and meanest order. And yes - four bullets left in the gun he has.

    I'm going to agree that he was using the package to control/empower the bullet. A shot like that from a pistol, straight up through wind and rain AND KK's bike and then finally the rotor? He HAD to be using the package, or else when he and Kirk were shooting each other they would have been turning each others limbs into paint with it.
    That's more than just an unbelievably difficult shot, it's got crazy penetration there, too.

    And I still think it was some sort of remote viewing going on there with Kait. Which would seem to imply Mark IS about, though not necessarily close.

    That Luke is acting like a real "shitbiscuit".
  11.  (6865.38)
    I'm find it amusing that so many people find it suprising that KK, of all people, is flying in that weather. FreakAngel powers aside, KK has the attitude and is in a very bad mood at this point... what do you expect? It's either fly, destroy things, or go fuck... which she may have been on her way to do.

    Others may remember that KK was already in flight, heading up high, before this storm blew in so quickly.

    I actually hadn't remembered that, but I figured that if KK was up there in the storm, she probably had a reason, even if that reason was "No crapbiscuit fuckstick of a store is going to tell me when and where I can fly my Steambike of Awesome!"
