Highly regarded longtime comic book writer and editor Denny O'Neil starts his weekly column on writing for comics at Bleeding Cool today:

I won’t teach you to write comics, and I doubt that anyone else will, either. What I can do is give you information–tell you what has often worked for other writers, in and out of comics, alert you to mistakes that beginners often make, acquaint you with certain realities, point you in directions that you may find useful.

Oh how interesting. I was thinking about this topic earlier today. I'll be following this one then.

Taking a Comic Scripting class right now - this coincides rather nicely.

I've always liked reading Denny O'Neil. I devoured his DC Guide to Writing Comics, and this seems like it will be just as enjoyable. Thanks for the link, Mark!

He taught this as a class in Rockland a few years ago. There was maybe a dozen people in the room. I was in absolute heaven. Not only an excellent class for writing comics, but stories in any medium.

    Wow! This is great news!

Bleeding Cool really is starting to give Newsarama / Comic Book Resources a run for it's money in my opinion. It's probably my favorite comic news / culture related site.

I just read the post, sounds wonderful and intriguing. I hope he gets into my biggest hurdle now, which is taking the look and arrangement of the panels into account for scripting.
