@Chris - It's a little bit stiff when you get it, but according to the helpful little insert that came with, that self-fixes once you wash it. Wore it all day yesterday and had no complaints as far as comfort. The pic looks good, if just slightly....I don't know art (or eyesight)enough to know the word for it...what's more clear than blurry but more blurry than razor sharp clarity? Anyway, it's a little bit that but I don't care (or think it's very noticable unless you're so close your nose is strumming Space Shark's guitar), it's super classy and I can't wait until summer when I can rock it without freezing my balls off.

Also, they sent me a free Zazzle shirt along with it, which was nice of them.

I recognize SS being a labor of love for you, but if terrible fan art (which I'm guilty of producing, too) were the thing that made creators stop bringing the original to the masses, man, what a boring world we'd live in. Buffy fan-fic may be a cesspool of the internet, but that doesn't make people like Buffy any less, and Joss Whedon certainly isn't scrapping shows and comics because random joes on the internet are messin' with his babies.* I mean, obviously, he's your guy, so do what you want, but lots of people love the Space Shark, and I will hype him to the end of my days. It seems a shame to end such a great character with such a great personality (and your art, which suits both pretty fucking well) so soon.

What's "ERB?" Sometimes I'll pour so many references and easter eggs into it even I don't know what I'm referencing sometimes. But yeah after completing 008 I felt I had nailed SS's laid-back-but-will-destroy-himself-and-take-you-all-with-him-at-the-drop-of-a-hat attitude I really want it to be Patrick Warburton. Brock Samson style ;)

PS: haha, years back before I had any solid comic plans I would draw ideas for a shark army rising up to invade Earth and they looked like Jabber jaw but with shotguns. I'll sometimes also add "Jabberjaw" as a tag in FlickR.

Dear God, Chris, you actually did it. I love it, I particularly like the way you draw the Ambassador (a suggestion, though: the Ambassador is an utterly demented alien T-Rex: as such, he tends to keep his mouth slightly open when he's not talking, and really open when he is -- also, his top teeth are always on display, which makes him seem even crazier).

To the people who have no idea what I'm talking about: this is the origin of the Ambassador of Awesome, and this is why Space Shark is definitely going to gut him and also a sign of my increasingly rotted brain.

Hay guyz, just wanted to say today is the exact year mark since I started posting Space Shark. I really wanted to have the next episode finished today to coincide with the one year mark, all symbolic and sheet. But I am just too slow these days and art-things take me longer. It’s coming soon though! At least I made this poster just now!

Anyway, thanks to everyone who gave a shit. Especially teh Whitechapel people here for all the encouragement/support. I was so nervous the night I was about to post the first comic. I was like “People are gonna laugh at me and think I’m a loser” but people really seem to appreciate the Shark from Space. Have not gotten one douche-y comment this entire time so I must be doing something right!

Special thanks to Warren and Ariana for showing quiet mercy this whole time and letting me do my thing here for the past year ^__^

Allen - If I know time travel and wormholes (and I don't) then I think Cadet Space Shark destroyed his own future statue self but he's gonna end up that way sooner or later cuz destiny has him by the nuts? Hahaha, that's as anal as I'm gonna get about my own comic. I usually just draw it, make up the words as I letter it, then upload and forget I did it. But WHOA, right? I am starting to use some of the continuity that's been built up in the last year tho.

I only have the one LXG book, i dig 'O Neil's scratchy kinda-Mignola style. my main comic/illustrating masters though are usually Mignola, Darwyne Cooke, Eric Powell and Mike Allred and Templesmith.
