Is it sad that I didn't think it was Space Shark until halfway through? I noticed the fin, I just thought there was going to be a villainous shark bounty hunter that Space was going to have to take down. It was great like always.
thanks guys ^__^ Allen - It's not sad, haha. I had this one in my head for a while. It looked cooler in my mind's eye but it ended up low key and simple. and i forgot to toss in a Werebot bounty hunter. But I guess it drops a few hints for revelations in future episodes of Space Shark Year 2 ;)
Great stuff, and felt a bit like one of those pre-credit sequences from a bond film. Which to me is a good thing. My internets have been dodgy all week, so I only got to read this today - it filled the skip week hole very well indeed.
ALSO: THE TIN SHARKSMAN - A 5-page comic done as a favor and may be included in some big anthology to be published soon but i'mnotexactlyholdingmybreath!
AND NOW #019 - "GOLIATHAN AWAKENS/SOLACE IN HER FRAILTY" Click to embiggen
Gonna go and enjoy me a well deserved nosebleed now. Thanks for looking <3 **Special thanks to my pal Miss Destructo for letting me draw her into this one ^__^ -Chris G
Wait so that means Space Shark got killed by Space Shark back when he was a cadet? Huh guess he does succeed in killing EVERYONE. Oh and awesome comic as per usual.
Thanks guyz. glad you're still digging Shark from Space ^__^
Allen - If I know time travel and wormholes (and I don't) then I think Cadet Space Shark destroyed his own future statue self but he's gonna end up that way sooner or later cuz destiny has him by the nuts? Hahaha, that's as anal as I'm gonna get about my own comic. I usually just draw it, make up the words as I letter it, then upload and forget I did it. But WHOA, right? I am starting to use some of the continuity that's been built up in the last year tho.
Curb - Thanks. I only have the one LXG book, i dig 'O Neil's scratchy kinda-Mignola style. my main comic/illustrating masters though are usually Mignola, Darwyne Cooke, Eric Powell and Mike Allred and Templesmith. Not strictly, I guess? but their influence is what filters out of me as I guide the pencil :D
