Lots of the Cars tonight. Eliot Easton really deserves more credit for his guitar playing.

Whitechapel radio is tonight's midterm paper-writing soundtrack. I didn't even realize it was there until tonight, but this is great stuff.

Tobacco use prevention and cessation strategies in resource-poor environments, specifically sub-Saharan Africa (aka transnational tobacco companies are fckers who are preying upon low-income countries and their kids).

nothing but dubstep. lots of Benga, Burial, Kromestar, Kode9, etc.

the 5 years of hyperdub compilation is amazing. Burial's "Fostercare" sucked all the air out of my lungs. i could listen to this man's work from now until infinity.

    Last.fm says:

    Matthew Dear
    WHY?
    Santogold
    Alarm Will Sound
    St. Vincent
    XTC
    Fat Beat Sound System
    Manna
    The Big Pink
    YACHT
    Peter Broderick
    Skream
    Cepia
    Kiln
    Marc Ashken

Been a week for small-ish music, it seems. Matthew Dear is a recent discovery, but I'm still uncertain if more than one record from him is necessary. Santogold is that high on the list mostly by virtue of the Switch & Sinden remix of You'll Find a Way.
