Re-listening to the latest Christian Fennesz album, Black Sea. Beautiful stuff, really.

In the same vein, Alva Noto's Xerro series (volume 1 and 2) are also excellent.
If you want some more incisive and rythmic minimal electronic stuff, Alva Noto's Unitxt is a masterpiece.
And that Alva Noto video (from Unitxt) proves that Carsten Nicolai can be as good with images as he's good with sounds...

You know, I mainly only comment on these to more easily track the new posts on it so I can keep finding out about great new music. Anyway.

The Hopkins Bros - Blues legend Lightnin' Hopkins and his two brothers, from my hometown of Houston

Steve Reich, Different Trains - modern composition inspired by train rides before during and after WWII

East West Blast Test, Popular Music for Unpopular People

Tomorrow going out to get the new Converge and Flaming Lips.

Here's some of Lightnin' Hopkins, playing his most well-known song (arguably).

I've never seen footage of him when he was that young before. That's pretty cool.

    @ Nigredo

How are you comparing Ben Frost´s 2 albums? I´m now finding a deep liking to his second one "by the throat". they´re calling it "the one with the rabid wolves" here in Iceland.

After a couple of spins, I'm liking it more than Theory of Machines.

    Listening to it right now.
