My mate Simon is in his first year as a comic book retailer and he held his very first Halloween Havoc at The Piece Hall, Halifax. It's 2009 so I thought I'd put together an M.G.S.2 Solid Snake outfit together.
Funnily enough I came down with a cold the same day. More pics from the Halloween Havoc here and if for some godforsaken reason any Whitechapelers venture into the wilds of West Yorkshire and you happen to be passing thru Halifax pop in & say "Hello. Chris sent me." to Simon. (You won't get a discount or owt but it might freak him out a bit & what are friends for, eh?)
This was at the end of the night, when I got worried no-one else had gotten a picture. I was drunk and unsteady and a bit ill. The tie started straight, I swear. I've even got those damn arm braces.
@Encephalo Ray (And I maintain that your name sound like something you shoot people in brain with) FUCK! you look wasted...sharp, but possibly not mentally...
At the last minute, I decided to throw together a Calvin and Hobbes costume. Not the most convincing when you're an adult with black hair, but the clothes are pretty easy to get.
I wish I had taken the time to make the wings orange and black on both sides, but I think it turned out okay. After last year my only goal was not to glue anything to my face.
