All this insanely amazing art for a FORUM THREAD! I sure hope you bastards actually illustrate comics professionally and make a damn good living out of it.
I'll just sit in the back here and slowly turn green with envy as more art is submitted.
That's like Gary Gianni drawing a Batman: Black and White version of Black Summer...
Perfect comparison; that drawing blows me away, Stargazer! Top notch perspective porn!
Because it came up; Here's a 600 dpi RGB TIFF version of my inks for this piece. I'm cool with people from these forums downloading this art to color on their own, but to preserve the sanctity of this thread, it might be a better idea to post any results in this month's ARTISTS THREAD, just to keep this one clear for new entries.
NOTE: Warren, Ariana, if this is off-topic, please alert me.
I read "snow" and think North Pole - the conceptual link is, at best, tenuous... Titleless version, and bigger. Creative commons applies. @Ken Miller: In last week's R/R I made the gross mistake of confusing you and Tim.x13 in my reply. The parts on sexyness and sensuality were a response to Tim.x13's comment and were refering to my take; they were not what must have appeared as a rather rude comment on your coloring. I have also failed to properly acknowledge said coloring, for which I would like to thank you, very much! I think the R/Rs have been pretty strong since the summer break; this week's no exception, and it's cool that new people keep coming in. Those that standed out to me: @Paul Sizer: Your black lines rock, but your colors have always been mighty. I hope we'll get to see the colored version. @JP Stargazer: breath-taking, your talent is humbling. @JPEFalconi: I love your style! It gives a lot of strength to your character. @Frequentcontributor: my favorite this week
Mother of whoa. Some really amazing black/white art and concepts on display this week. Enough to give a poor guy performance anxiety. Don't think I've got time to do one this time, sadly... Though my idea is similar to and already outdone by the Super Ann/Crappy Nan picture. Curseees! :)
Holy Giger, it's always good to hear that people loves one's work! Thanks you all, guys & gals!! But, seriously, still a bit far from Gianni! ... not worried, I still gonna get there! :P Miranda, you fucking rock the kasbah, man!! Dbed, that's a really cool one!!! HAha, now I get it; I like the bull one, Ken Miller. And, Dervaspa, sure, be my guest!!
Didn't think I'd have time this week and definitely didn't last week, but managed to whip this out pretty quickly. Nothing earth-shattering. Click through for full size. Kapow!
I think a remake should be a more light hearted sort of tale like "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane" taking place in High School after she gets her abilities. As for the Hermit... well now he's in the form of a cute piggie bag and not only helps Ann with advice, but also items to help her battle evil. I chose the whole kids comic sort of thing because Super Hero comics based on older characters tend to make them more gritty and darker and I felt Ann just would fit better in a lighter situation at least during her High School phase.
Hi I'm Shea and I'm new =) You guys have some really awesome entries here, I feel ashamed with this -__-
Bloody hell, where to start? @Miranda: Crazy cool as always! @Meatgun, JPStargazer, Paul Sizer, Freq.Contributor: Much awesomeness. @Ken Miller: A ballerina lifting up a bull while standing atop a pyramid is bound to become an occult symbol of the ages.
as for mine: Still not as elaborate as I would like, but I'm letting it go at this.
