    And it just isn't Hallowe'en without the Residents

    And if all this creepiness gets to be too much, it's good to know that In Heaven, Everything is Fine.

    Nothing does creepy like Nick Cave being all stalky with Kylie, tbh.

    I hope no one else has had the idea of putting all of these into a youtube playlist.
    Because I'm gonna start on that right now.

    @ thingy umm..forgotten and am now playing vids, so don't want to click back: - Zombina and the Skeletones are one of my favourite bands. They're pretty big on the alt scene over here, but virtually unheard of in the mainstream. They do the whole Misfits/Cramps comedy horror thing really, really well. There's always room for one of a certain type of novelty band and they've nailed that slot for the moment.

    @Oddcult: That was me! I happened to stumble upon their myspace years ago. They are fantastic.

    Here's the link for the playlist I'm compiling (good for those of us whose computers get mad at all the embeds on one page): http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=E21AE9C42F88695D (if I link it, it'll embed, sorry)

    And one more from me:

    I'm digging that Zombina. Never heard'em before now i'm on a mission.
    @Britannica-Polkadot Cadaver! My favorite.
    Here's something I found while searching out outer bands. I forgot about this show. Man i'm old but I think its better to think of your childhood when talking about Halloween. Thats when I enjoyed the holiday the most.

    @Iceland Bob - Bela Lugosi was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title, but being at work, couldn't post it...

    Nick Cave, the Curse of Millhaven

    Which always makes me laugh out loud...

    The Garfield Halloween special was probably my first introduction to the concept of Halloween - it wasn't really a thing in South Africa in the 80s... - so here, have all the songs from it in one video.
