It's Friday, it's noon GMT, it's FREAKANGELS: In which Mark isn't a sociopath at all nooo not a bit.

G'morning, Whitechapel. How's everyone? We're an hour later than usual in the States, so some folks should be more caffeinated and coherent... though it might not make that much difference for some, hee. Anyway: are we all still alive and kicking?

Very much alive and kicking here, thanks - it's payday, I have been sent a free case of beers from Brew Dog for reasons I'm not entirely sure I can disclose, and it's Haloween tomorrow! Yay!

    Also, nice episode.

Ah, it's becoming clear. They tried to take out Alan Moore and it all went wrong...

I should be in bed. Hours ago. Migraine kept that from happening, as did a lovely chat with a lovelier lass. I tried to kill the migraine with pills, 1.5 hours ago.

The 'angels are planning to use their combined might to break something. Me? I'd use their combined powers to get the fucking migraine out of me, pronto.

As it is, the episode shed some light on what came to pass, and looked lovely while doing so. Now I'm going to go to the bed behind me, which has two cats and a dog upon it, and see if I wake up with all of my body parts.

Lots of places claim to be the geographical centre of England. There's a little town near where I went to uni in Coventry called Meriden who seem pretty convinced they are.

We need our own Hiroshima. Wow, that line hit me in the gut in a totally unexpected way. And Mark looks so damn cheerful and reasonable while saying it! (Connor's throwaway line about flooding London also hit me - in the sense of making me laugh like a loon). Keep the flashbacks coming!

I managed to kick three websites out the door this week and hence am in a good mood for the weekend. I also need a haircut. Badly.

On page 5 Luke and Mark have mentioned not punching a hole in Northampton, because nobody would miss it and thier football team is shit. (Which is true.)
Then they mention Lancashire. Whats the most successful football team in Lancashire?

Manchester United. I do hope they dont punch a hole in my beloved hometown! (Waits for Warren to make a comment about how it would be an improvement.)
Although it would be a good tie in to bring Alice back into the story. Could it turn out that her new friends destroyed her home city in thier first act of retalliation? Maybe thats why Conner had a soft spot for her in the beginning?

Agreed, Purple Wyrm. That line was chilling.

Paul - loving the babyFAs. They are very kawaii.

My computer is still broken, I am sulking. 'Part from that, all good.

Oh, 'Angels, 'Angels. This is not going to end well, believe me!

I am certainly alive and kicking today. I'm wearing half my Halloween costume to work as I will be going straight on to a party, which meant that this morning the reception staff greeted me with 'Good Morning, [my name], ...nice...tophat...'

I love how much younger, softer and more dangerous they are in the flashbacks. Along with valid points about deterrence, they're using the shitness of a place's football team as a determining factor in destroying it. It's such a teen thing to do. It also interesting how Luke is acting as the fulfilling the role of pariah/bastard in a useful way by calling Mark out on how far along his plans are as well as by pointing out to Sirkka the flaws of continued non-violence. And look how much wilder and angrier Jack seems.

Page four, panel three was hilarious. Thanks. Making the utter shits of the group speechless.

I love the group dynamics here. All those people agreeing with Mark...

I think it stands to reason that whatever they did is pretty different from "our own Hiroshima," considering how devastated England seems to be. So now I'm wondering a) how big this hole really is, and b) what else happened in response to said hole. I mean, did the impact (or whatever) from the FAs set off some kind of doomsday machine?

I've lived there for 20 years. I assure you if Northampton were flooded, nothing of value would be lost.

"Something massive" a la Clint Eastwood in The Eiger Sanction. Sometimes; we should be careful what others wish for.

I am doing fine and overnight the American dessert when from hot to cold. Just like that! Damn, I wish for seasons. An old saying here: We have two seasons; every day of the year and Christmas morning. Oh well, still here and still loving this amazing journey in post flooded London. The old pervert in me was taken by the idea of:
WE DON’T REALLY HAVE THE TIME FOR YOU TO FUCK EVERYONE INTO SUBMISSION, SIRKKA DARLING.

I don't know how people from Northampton, Lancashire and Yorkshire will react. Would better soccer teams help to escape Armageddon, I wonder.

Hello Aryana, don't you think this Autumn is beautiful? As for us, we're buying a purple Ford Fusion.

I still wish Connor was fat in these flashbacks. I want to see a fat Connor.

Looks like everyone's more or less on board with Mark here, except Sirkka. And Jack, hell, I thought he was asleep until Luke called Sirkka a slut. He seems pretty indifferent about the whole plan.

    I can't believe it was Connor's idea :)

    I'm from Lancashire, and:

    Manchester United
    [/quote]
..is in Greater Manchester, not Lancashire.

I'm not sure who the most successful Lancastrian team is as I don't watch football but perhaps it's Bolton.

    I'm from Bury, myself.

This weekend - AntiChrist and Slimelight clubs on Friday and Saturday respectively, for a weekend of Halloween fun. I'm not bothering with a costume as I've not had much time lately for much.

Mark is not the only sociapath here... I mean, it's one thing to strike back, but by going after a town or city? Wow. No wonder you try to be a good guy afterwards. Also, seems to me they sort of underestimated what 12 of them could do...

Not a bad strategy...until you think of the human cost. The best part of this that we know it goes out of hand but is still engrossing. We still have to get back to the cliffhanger (or roof-hanger) and I am in no hurry.

A couple of day shifts coming up today and tomorrow and celebrating Halloween after both. Its currently pouring in Chicago so we are off to a soggy start.

I'm looking forward to the next few episodes if they carry on down this path because we'll get to see THE END OF ALL THINGS AS WE KNOW THEM.

But, of course, Warren will probably end up leaving us on another massive cliffhanger, then laugh as our heads all implode.

I'm excellent! This weekend should prove to be much fun. I'm off to a halloween party tonight (so what if it's the 30th?) to see loads of friends I haven't seen in ages, my girlfriend is picking up a kitten that we've rescued, and we'll be seeing my folks on Saturday for a massive indian takeaway, booze and a movie to celebrate my mum's birthday.

    Great stuff all round!
