    It's easy to break an egg. It's not so easy to put it back together again ;) Also, they don't seem to know exactly what it is that they actually did (apart from burn off a whole load of power) so undoing it could be pretty difficult.

    Rebuilding Whitechapel into something approaching civilisation seems to be the best they can do to repair the world.

    We don't have all the details on what was done, but undoing it would do little to return the world to its previous state. The dead are still dead, the flooded buildings are unlivable, and the prior society is not going to spring back into existence.

    My own personal guess is that it was rather like hitting a crystal vase with a hammer. You can glue all you want, it's not going to be what it was. Better to focus on making something new.
