@ronin I don't think I've ever had Tullamore--if I did, I was really rea'lly hammered--but I am a big fan of their collector's bottles. They've got some crazy shit out there.
Thanks. It was a wedding I was helping my photographer friend shoot about as close to the Hudson River as you can get without falling in. He grabbed me at the end of the event and said "I just found the perfect natural headshot light. Come quick!" and we snapped a couple of each other.
He really is good. I think he going to be doing some portraits of Molly Crabapple after Thanksgiving.
The double vision. I'm crosseyed, and the laying down next to the computer, proping myself up with elbow, doesn't really subscribe to glasses-wearing... not to mention having explody headache that makes glasses feel like they are clamping my head to the point of burtsing (like Rutger Hauer in Bladerunner)...
I'd bought this eyepatch a while ago from some nifty leather artisan on ebay, but I never could figure how to keep in comfortably in place on my head, until now.
The secret?
Pony-tail.
It anchors it from sliding off the back of my head so I can... wear it without getting one eyebrow all squonshed and angry-Klingon lookin'.
I want corsety braces for my spine... and hands that work so I can use my cane for my bad ankle... and with an eyepatch, too... everyday will bbe super villianess day! Hooray!
Technically not a self-portrait, but (from l. to r.):
Tori (10), Brother Ali, m'self and William (13).
And then there's me with BK-One, Ali's DJ and one of the most gracious and humble dudes I've ever met. Also, my beard was apparently feeling mighty or something. Wow:
@Shining Lion- Do you work in music? <3 Brother Ali by the way, Except that I'm now blind from viewing the glare reflecting off his pasty complexion. He reminds me of a pleasantly plump Powder.
