Me, right now? NEU!, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Blank Dogs
Haven't listened to Neu! in ages. I think I should fix that.
I'm still on my Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion trip, even though the rest of my music taste has become far more autumnal. Boards of Canada - Geogaddi and A Silver Mt Zion - Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upwards. The latter makes me feel especially miserable, but in the loveliest way.
Currently listening to The Waco Brothers: live at Schubas tavern and now that I've hooked up my ancient hi-fi system and very old turntable (it doesn't even automatically lift at the end of a record and the arm's counter-balance is a weight on a wire) working my way through an ancient vinyl collection from the Readers Digest called Great and Original Hits of the 50s & 60s, which is a nine record affair - one per year from 1950 - 1969 - that I listened to a lot as a kid and extracted from my parents' collection when I was last home.
Bomb The Music Industry!/O Pioneers!!! - Split. The Mountain Goats & John Vanderslice - Moon Colony Bloodbath. I was filled with such glee when I found this online my family looked at me like a freak. The Budos Band - The Budos Band EP. Battles - Mirrored. Future of the Left - Last Night I Saved Her From Vampires. HEALTH - Get Color. Japandroids - Post-Nothing. Part Chimp - Chart Pimp. Yoda's House - Tape/MP3.
Future sound of London - Accelerator !!! - Myth Takes Corviria - Psyco Analysis Mountains - Etching Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesue Reykjavik!- The Blood Shackleton - Three EPs The Bavarian Drug lords - 205 Worm Is Green - Glow Casiokids - Fot i hose Grandaddy - Just like the fambly Cat M.pyres - cast off/ cold months csst Sol Invictus - In The Rain Popol Vuh - Hosianna Mantra
Polysics - Hey! Bob! My Friend! Depeche Mode - Black Celebration lp, Violator Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty lp, Ill Communication Baroness - Red Album, Blue Record Melt-Banana - Cell-Scape lp Tegan & Sara - Sainthood mc chris - Part Six Part Two
