Chrissy Murderbot's New Jack Swing Mix just blew my mind back to 1991. Love it.

Someone mentioned Fiona Apple's version of Elvis Costello's "I Want You" from a TV tribute to Elvis Costello, and I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find an mp3 of it. I forgot how much I loved that version, re-discovered it because it was mentioned here, and of course, the internet is not helping me find a non-crappy-bitrate version of it.

Many thanks if you can help.

Also, for me, lots of Blonde Redhead

Providing Tom Araya's back surgery goes well, I'm off to see Slayer in a few weeks, so I've dusted off their back catalogue and grabbed their new one - World Painted Blood'. It's not bad, but there's nothing memorable on it.

    Also this week so far,

    Pyramids with Nadja
    Valgeir Sigurðsson – Ekvílibríum
Dino Saluzzi & Anja Lechner – Ojos Negros
    HECQ - Night Falls

Also, the following movies without the pictures switched on.

    Oceans 11
    Solaris

The Jesus and Mary Chain. Munki.

A late , underrated album by the first cool band I ever got into. ( unless Yes and King Crimson count)

    I really like this.

Moving on to some Tangerine Dream later.

Grouper’s DRAGGING A DEAD DEER UP THE HILL because the esteemed Mr Ellis said it was good and indeed it is.

And a compilation of songs from blaxploitation soundtracks that my brother burned for me. Also The Cribs but I'm not so keen on that one.

And various Steve Earle because we saw him here Tuesday night and he were ace!

i think its great that you worry when i listen to pop, and dont worry when i listen to music about stabbing people. you really do know me!

edit: also what does COLD CAVE sound like? hipster HC kids are all over this band, but their records sell out within hours and then go for ebay prices.

PIcked up Rocco DeLuca and the Burden's MERCY about 8 months too late. It's got a great sound.
