    Shivering Sands at low tide.
    Low tide
My roommate's usually gentle springer, probably stimulated by the neighbor's barking dog, proceeded to bite the postman's heel this morning. Your book generates chaos.

Not finished with the reading part yet, but thoughts in my brain have managed to escape into bloggery ahead of schedule. Not 100% convinced that anything I wrote made sense, but that's pretty common for me, so oh well. There it is.

My copy was dispatched earlier this afternoon.

Got mine today, looks great, and by great I mean it really really looks like a real live book, not just something cobbled together by some shlub in the back of the local Kinko's. This is my first POD purchased book, and it goes proudly alongside every other "traditional" book in my library. Which means, at least at this level of POD, traditional book publishing should be spending many a sleepless night. Guttenberg is smiling somewhere....

Just ordered it along with a book on detectives which caught my eye - and a computer generated thank you followup came. Neat.

And it arrived this morning. I've given it a quick read and it's very good. There's a lots of stuff I remember and a lot of content that I don't. Also I'm making the onion marmalade on Sunday to go with steak.

It Has Arrived. And it's nice and shiny, and filled with strange thoughts. Also, I now own my first POD book. Which I still find really exciting.

I've requested a copy for Christmas >:o) Can't afford to buy one myself just at the moment so this will be a nice present. If the not-so-subtle hint of "You know what I'd love for Christmas? THIS BOOK by Warren Ellis which is available through THIS LINK!" is taken by my boyfriend.

    Just ordered mine!

Has anyone from Brazil got it yet? I wonder how long it will take to arrive here.

OK, after waiting several weeks for my copy I've figured out that Lulu managed to lose the first line of the address, so rather than being sent to "[My Name], [My Company], Care of [Another Company] [Address]" the book has been sent to "Care of [Another Company] [Address]". So there's every possibility that it's been delivered but got lost somewhere in the building, never finding its way up to me.

This is fairly annoying - however the annoyance is somewhat offset by the thought of some innocent office drone opening the package and unexpectedly having their mind blown by Warren's own special brand of crack :)

Anyone know what fonts are used in the interior? The capital Q's are quite beautiful.

My brother, who is both a genius and a gentleman, has seen fit to pick me up a copy. I had to forcibly stop myself from reading it in the car on the way home (I was, in fact, operating the motor vehicle at the time).
Also, look at his blog, where he shares his thoughts on the book.

I will be SO gutted if I don't receive this for Christmas after all.. it means that I've wasted a few weeks waiting for something which won't be arriving! Will order it ASAP when I get home from visting the other half's parents in Spain for Christmas.

Got mine for Christmas about 12 hours ago, now. Looks really nice; the cover is so shiny! Will have to wait to start reading until I'm done making all these damn gifts for people...
