Quoted from the first page of the thread:

DOKTOR SLEEPLESS: Concluding issue will appear (late?) 2011, probably as an extra-long issue. Book will go on an official hiatus after that.

Ah, my bad. I misread that as 2010. Sorry.

Desolation Jones first arc was delightful.. wish we could see more of it.. quietly one of my favorite comics, and it doesn't even try that hard to be great, it just is. hope this year goes really great for Warren. we miss you :)

No signal. Just wanted to say I had no idea you'd suffered a digital meltdown. I was actively reading a number of those titles you listed as being dead or on hiatus. Very sorry that newuniversal died. I had been an early fan of the original bastard serials, and thought you'd done magnificent work making those stories actually breathe (I think I read the original stories more for the ideas than the executions, and lost interest after a few issues; I took a miss on the apocalyptic mash-up endgame). Your work was the best thing that could have happened to them. Sad you won't get to finish those stories. Thanks for trying, though. I doubt anyone else could have done better.

And sincerest condolences on the novel. I was looking forward to that. I'd probably have a complete freak-out if my novels suddenly went poof before I had a chance to finish and publish them. Most of my work of the last ten years is still in strictly digital format. Scary to think about it.

    This makes me sad.

Thanks for giving it a great run Warren. I'll be sad to see it end, did anything happen with the publishing or was it just not gripping you any more?

Are there any plans to reprint Absolute Planetary?
  2.  (7158.7)
You'd have to ask DC, sorry. I'm not privy to things like that.

    No Black Summer? But why?

    Whhhhhyyy??????

I don't understand the question. There was a film option, the company involved couldn't get a suitable pitch together before the option ran out.

will GUN MACHINE be the first of a two parter or will the mulholland books be separate entities?
  5.  (7158.11)
Unknown as yet, as I don't really know what the second book will be yet. But expect them to be unrelated.
  6.  (7158.12)
Oh, hold on: no, GUN MACHINE is a self-contained book, there's no "two-parter" here.

Glad to hear about the publishing love. Looking forward to both novels, whatever they may be (nice premise on Gun Machine, BTW. Intriguing).

Warren - after FA ends, do you anticipate doing something else with the same release model?
  8.  (7158.18)
Another FA question - when FA ends in the not-too-distant future will this forum disappear or will it continue (at least for the foreseeable future)?

    LAZ-

Mark Seifert from Avatar, who pay for this stuff, said
Presuming this accurately reflects Warren's feelings on the matter Whitechapel will remain open indefinitely.
