    I THINK I NAILED IT

@Chip - You did... and my heart too...

@ alexandermitchell - this captured the tone I was picturing right off the bat. love the "dial 0," ectoplasmic burst, and eye buttons
@ adamrosenlund - reminds me of a legacy, Robinson Starman version of the concept. excellent rendering skills there
@ jeffkevlar - feels like wading in a maze of ectoplasm
@ amalgamatedbiscuit - jumped straight outta one of those spooky Disney cartoons, nailboard in tow

David Lee Ingersol: Another new favorite comic EVER! I love evil nuns; I don't know why... And your work is picking up an Edwardo Risso-by-way-of-Elektra Lives Again-era Frank Miller vibe, thematically and stylistically, which I'm digging.

Chip Zdarsky: That's some of the most beautiful ink work I've ever seen. And I love the serial murderer-meets-It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown costume styling...

Oh, and kmcleod: I don't quite know what to make of a Blaxploitation version of Mitch Hedberg's police officer character from Home Movies (see below...) laying some tiger-piss smack down onto some Reb soldiers, but I like it.

    Here's what I mean:

GET OUT OF HERE ZDARSKY YOU'RE THROWING THE CURVE

Thanks for the kind words everyone. You made me glad I went with that and not the rolling number zero with angry googly eyes a la Sesame Street.

In a world where robots hunt and kill ghosts, only detection unit Zero still functions...

    Nice inky linework, Chip.

Well thank God SOMEONE does! Being such a hated person really takes it out of me. : )

Waiting for latter entries to come in and own, but good stuff so far from Alexander Mitchell, Adam Rosenlund, DBed, Nixon and Mr. LeGolem.
My music for creating this? The Fixx: "Saved by Zero".
    Too obvious? The answer: yes.

Impeccable design work Sizer, cohesive right down to the logo and palette.

The whole thing communicates "action upon absorbed reflection."

    An Earless Ghost's Lament

    Zero was no hero,
He preyed on the mortals' fears,
    So they would give permission,
For him to collect the spirits' ears.
