Hi there. My first contribution in the R/R threads (oh, it sounds like Red Ribbon in Dragon Ball), also my first message in Whitechapel. Hello ! Also, I am French. Oh, I am so French.
@frequentcontributor--I couldn't get "by any means necessary" out of my head. I'm showing my age by admitting that I've never heard of HOME MOVIES, but thanks for the linkup.
Yeah, I'm definitely a Clone Artist fan. But Sobriero's "Long Island whitefish" ghost is my favorite.
@Alexander Mitchell - Excellent kick off to this thread. Still one of my favorite pieces.
@Viol8tor - That's one scary mouth!
@Kieran - Burn baby burn!
@Adam Rosenlund - I love this one. It's a favorite this week. Zero is obviously a man who enjoys his work!
@stsparky - Do we want to know what that tool is for?
@John Q - Nice character design, simple yet with lots of possibilities once Zero is in action - as your follow up demonstrated.
@Oogliemooglie - I love the smell of burning ectoplasm in the morning. It smells like ...
@DBed - Awesome.
@frequentcontributor - Your contribution gives me the creeps every time I look at it. Good work!
@Meatgun - Ouch.
@Brian le Golem - Heh. The little dog is a great touch.
@jeffkevlar - a formidable looking Zero!
@Eightser - I like that transparent/skeletal arm.
@DisContent - Ghost noir. Yay!
@Yoav - Excellent illustration but I think his brain is getting cold :)
@Dbed - And awesome again. Your first contribution had a good thriller vibe, this one would make a great cartoon. One to give the kiddies nightmares.
@Amalgamated Biscuit - Whack-A-Spook! You can't beat just one!
@Shetland - The black teeth are a great detail!
@kmcleod - Boom baby boom!
Forgot to assign Creative Commons to my piece. A little late now but FYI.
@Chip Zdarsky - God damn. This is my favorite illustration this week. It's so creepy. Lovely brushwork. The expression on his face is both sad and insane. If I saw that coming at me I'd be terrified.
@Paul Sizer - Lovely robot designs. He and my Ghost Exterminator could team up :)
@Ken Miller - Ghost ears?!? Eeewww.
@kperkins - Big gun arms rule.
@Maxence - excellent contribution, first time or not. Come back again!
@Sobreiro - I would not fuck with you Zero. I wouldn't even joke around him.
@Clone Artist - I really enjoy your contributions. I see things that I've never imagined on my own. This one is cute and absolutely creepy all at the same time.
@ David Lee Ingersoll-Thanks for the comment. Your version of Zero is fucking spooky! I especially like The pile of dead in the back ground. When I see it I can't help but think that maybe she couldn't wait for ghosts to exterminate so she decided to make her own. The black and white with red being the only color really gives it a nice tone as well.
Man. Sucks that I'm so busy this week, too. This one seems lots of fun, and my idea still hasn't been done. Great work from everyone so far. So many fun designs and ideas.
I'm showing my age by admitting that I've never heard of HOME MOVIES...
kmcleod: Home Movies is from the late 90's/early 00's, so I can't figure out if you mean that you're too young to have seen it or too old to have seen it...
@EVERYONE: fucking kick ass, people!!Adam, that's... simply awesome. dbed, Frequentcontributor, DisContent, Meatgun, ALBERTO, Clone Artist, SOBREIRO, sizer, Ken Miller ... If I forget someone, doesn't matter. Everyone has pushed themselves to the limit, I think. This has been, so far, one of the best R/R threads!
Alexander Mitchell: Great start to the thread viol8tor: A ghost sammich--excellent Adam Rosenlund: Love it! The green ectoplasm/blood kills it. stsparky: Ectoplasmic dildo, who woulda thunk. John Q: Invisible Zero is excellent oogliemooglie: Love it. The pacman ghost rules. DBed: nice. Love the singularity suit one frequentcontibutor: Great work. Meatgun: Very cool Brian Le Golum: Nice pen work (Love the ghost dog) eightser: Now that's an old fashioned kick ass ghost killer. Love the line work. DisContent: Very nice. Biscuit: Love the cartoony-ness of it. kmcleod: Cool David Lee Ingersoll: interesting take. Chip Zdarsky: Love the brush work. Sizer: Clean and interesting take, as usual. Ken Miller: Great stuff. Loving all the detail. Maxence: Welcome to R/R, and great job. Sobriero: Old time knuckle duster gets the job done. Clone Artist: God I love that. Love the scratchy line work, and the Hate/More Hate balls. I think yours is my favorite. Alberto: Great piece, the color is excellent.
Good R/R this week everyone. If I missed anyone, sorry, good stuff everyone.
Amazing entries as usual everyone ;-) Chip's has tickled me the most - gorgeous ink (as everyone has said) but it's the idea I love :-) Missing everyone here... life and the creation thereof has gotten in the way. Hope to rejoin these marvelous threads soon!
Wow could it be, just about a week and nary a submission with the hero beating up Nazi's? I guess there haven't been very many in recent R/Rs but for some reason noticed it this week. One nice gender switch but no boob-tastic female heroes in stompy boots and bondage gear. They're nice enough to look at but a bit predictable.
Instead people have been exceptionally creative and damn some of the skill here...goddamn!!
