    vaguely, but it requires a research trip to Japan with my artist, and we've yet to excite a publisher enough to foot that bill.

    @Nicoleet - I only recently learned how hard it is to make comics but my love for making and reading them comes from the fact that their DNA is a stew of design and illustration and story. It's like why you should get a mixed breed dog over a pure-bred. Before that, I got into them as a kid and they got into me. I'm hard-wired for comics.

    Sub-question: I want to own and operate a family diner in a small town, wear an apron, get fat, and know everyone.

    Looking forward to it. Part of the problem with longs arcs is that I get the feeling that you've only begun to scratch the surface on where you have already taken the character in your own head.

    You touched on this a little bit already, but, what has it been like for you to read the IMMORTAL WEAPONS mini-series? I think it's been fantastic but I imagine that there's got to be a little mental jenga for you to reconcile it with what you already "know" about the characters.

    Although they can be re-interpreted in different hands, do you think there's a corollary to your theory and the fact that Superman, Batman (Superego), Spider-Man (Ego), and The Hulk (Id) are the most well-known and beloved of superheroes? Or are those unfair pairings and they just benefited from better Pop PR?

    If you could radically re-tell or re-invent or just take nearly-absolute creative license with any Marvel character (apoligies if I missed this one being asked), hero or villian (not counting Iron Man) anyone of interest?

    What comic do you remember reading that at the time you thought pushed the boundaries of moral deceny, good taste or totally skull-fucked them more aptly put and made you pause to say "wow" or "holy fuck!" or something in response? Whether story, art or both!

    Frank Miller has directed films. Mark Millar says there's a directing job on his horizon. Seeing as how you have experience behind a camera does the idea of directing a comics property on the big screen sound appealing to you?

    Also, I'm learning After Effects for my job. I assume it was a part of your toolbox at MK12. Any advice for a novice?

    Also, I can't remember where I read it, but you once wrote about an idea you had to go out and hide porn in the woods so that kids could find it there the way your generation did. I've always thought that was one of the funniest things I've ever read. Hopefully, I'm not misremembering it too badly.

    yes. in my day you had to go digging through weird hobo huts to find porn. not like kids these days with their internets and the googles.

    we should pick an arbitrary day, make it national porn in the woods day, where gentlemen of a certain generation pay those adolescent boners forward by leaving a HUSTLER next to a treestump or something.

    not a comics property, just because of the greenscreen work involved. i mean, i wouldn't say no, but i don't miss greenscreen shooting, i miss actors and cameramen and funny grips hacking cellphones between takes and overeager wardrobe and prop ladies and awesome set designers and first ADs that tell you about shooting DC CAB and MANHATTAN.

    What do you think about the up and coming trend of motion comics? DO you think it will last or is it something that will be looked back on in a few years in a "WTF were we thinking" kind of way? And if you think they last, what series would you like to see become motion comics?
