    You don't read WASTELAND. The way I know that is that not enough people read WASTELAND, and if everyone reading this read WASTELAND its sales would be three times the level they are now.

    WASTELAND is probably the only other post-apocalyptic comic written by bald Englishmen that you should be reading right now. They have a website and everything -- including Antony Johnston's soundtrack for WASTELAND, even, which is a wonderful idea.

    They've also got the entire first issue up there, for free, in three different formats.

    And if you like that, there's five collections to be had, with delicious covers by my own mate Mr Benjamin Witchity Templesmith of the Australian Colony.

    I am guilty of currently not reading Wasteland, when finances got tough it wasn't something I was able to keep up with in trade, but once I do have money I will be picking up Volume 3 and move onward. Though now I will be telling random people they can read the first issue for free now. It is a very damn good series.

    My oversized hardcover copy just got shipped today. I'm a slut for Wasteland, since I already have the five trade paperbacks that're out. I'll probably sell or give away the three that the HC will replace.

    The other day Antony said, on his website, which is frankly not hard to find and you really have no excuses:

Rest assured that no-one is more frustrated about the delay than us, but these things happen, and we beg your patience for a few weeks more.

    Curling up with the first five issues now, as I waffle about dragging my carcass out to some abysmal New Wave club night, just to see some old friends.

    May just say fuck it, finish the five issues and move on to Milligan's "Egypt" which is also screaming to be read.

    Soarer: you're worrying over nothing. WASTELAND is fine, our future is assured, and we're taking it all the way to the end. This book is my labour of love, and I'm seeing it through come hell or high water.*

    We haven't solicited beyond those issues yet because, unlike some publishers and creators, we don't like to solicit issues we know we can't ship on time. As I said on my website, #27 is delayed, but coming as soon as we can, and once we've crossed that hump we all hope that we can get back on track. I believe, in fact, that #30 is to be solicited in the next PREVIEWS catalogue. If the series was cancelled, we'd tell people — especially if it was happening within the next two issues (!)

    Allen: Actually, WASTELAND #1 has been free on the web for about three years, now :)

    Oga: The HC only covers the issues from the first two trades, not three.

    And, yes, thank you to everyone in this thread who's either reading or said they'll give it a try. WASTELAND isn't your average post-apoc story, and certainly isn't for everyone, so we fully appreciate every reader we have.
