The remains of Brighton's West Pier (which partially collapsed, got set on fire, collapsed again and uh, got set on fire. Again. Local rumour says flaming crossbows were involved, which is amazing.) from this weekend.

Allana: I know precisely what you mean. I LOVE Stephen Shore and William Eggleston, but my photography looks nothing like theirs. on the other hand - hey, look - BOOBIES!!

    Dans l’Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal

(posted over on my Montreal photo blog)

I was quite surprised by some of the internal architecture of this cathedral. The upper level, in particular, was not what I would have expected.

Not boobies, but it came out alright for something that can't stand still.

V, great photo from the cathedral -- what is the light source? Where is it coming from?

    @barton - Thank you!
There were small spot lights up at the top that kind of blend into the light themselves due to their small size and the brightness of the light.
    Possibly.
    Umm....
It's a really unusual space in there.
The lower level church has a more traditional look in keeping with the external of the building, but the upper part of the cathedral is this really stark cavernous space.
Really clean hard lines unlike the ornate curves seen elsewhere in the very same building. A real sense of vast and empty.

@allana the color is so lovely!

@ William George -- that's the N Oregon coast. I got back down there at the beginning of November and Neptune brewed up a big storm for me, ;).

The shot just above are the beach @ Manzanita and the earlier ones are looking down from 101, the Oregon Coast Hwy.

    Dear Whitechapel,

I took this photo and immediately thought of you.

    Chikkinz in the snow!

Can't do much with the rest of the photos I've been taking in the snow, as I'm running off my eepc and can not face editing images on it but once I'm back in London, I shall post some of my favourites.
