    A minor question for those who still use film;

Do you stick the box ends on the back of your camera or not?

    Allana: Those are wonderful.
William: I dont understand the question, so I guess the answer is "no".

Diaphine really messed with the contrast on this one. But I really wanted the sky to come out as well, so I ended up with a pretty flat photo.

    Hello all,
I've been lurking without creating an account for a while, so I figured it was time I got around to posting something. I hope you like it.

@Munin- You know, your rip off the end of the box on your newly bought roll of film, and stick it in the little holder in the back of your camera.

William:I know what you're talking about, because I am old and decrepit. I used to do that many years ago, but the Leica body doesn't have the little slot for the box end, just a wheel to set the ISO.

    Alastair: A lot.

@William - My trusty F100 has a little window for that. I think one of my manual slrs had that slot but I could never be bothered and can usually guess what film's in it by the ISO rating it's set to.

I always use it because a lot of times if I don't, I forget if it's color or not.

here's a couple more from the same day as my earlier one.
Decaying restroom facility, New Orleans City Park

Dead tree, New Orleans City Park
All of the shots so far are unedited. The tree image could use some work so far, but my computer doesn't like anything remotely graphic or memory intense, so they'll probably stay how they are for the time being.

Allana: wow. Cuba looks fabulous. Have you ever seen this short film called Graffiti?

COOP: I am deeply envious of Alejandra's Batman top.

Sigh... I was hired by a friend's band to take photographs of them. At first they'd some weird idea of creating a story with the photos in some way, or representing each of the four men as a different Tarot card. I was excited for this, because it wouldn't be... y'know... four regular looking fellows in front of a brick wall, like every other band photo is.

We met up at a bar, where they told me they'd abandoned the previous ideas, and instead we'd just walk around town and take pictures. Outdoors. At night. What do I end up with? Hundreds of noisy photos in dim crappy lighting of various brick walls and four regular looking guys, one of whom wouldn't stop talking.

Yeah, simple and dim and "Bohemian Rhapsody" as this is, at least NOBODY IS TALKING or emotively gesturing.

I'm not actually very proud of the photographs themselves. They should have been better. However, I am pleased with my tweakery to salvage them, heavy handed and dark as it might be.

@Cinnimon and Spite-Thanks. The nice part is that it's in my parents' backyard, so I can go photograph it whenever I want :)

@ Rachael Noel Tyrell- I found your story giggle worthy.
