@ William George -- Are you sure it isn't Bizarro Miyazaki? The sun looks like it has a square center.

@ COOP: I love your studio with all the giant robots (though my attention should probably get caught by what is in the foreground:)... anyway, where did you get them?

Talking of robots, here are some pics from Japan:

@William - That sky is absolutely wonderful in hue! the shot itself is freaking awesome.

A friend asked me to help her takes some shots of her ink recently... I obliged and in return got a free dinner and new jewelry for my lip... lmao. I'm more so happy with how the photo's turned out though!

@allana - Well there were unsuccessful 'mugs' too, but who who ever put those up?!?! (ok now I might have to find a few of the sillier less pretty ones) Crap I went back and looked... and couldn't find any... >_< If I could I'd loan my friends out but I think *I* might have to pay whoever loaned *them* due to how wild they can be >_>

I love that first photo especially. I can never get my camera to take good night pictures... OK I know it's really more so I don't know HOW to get my camera to do so, but either way I'm envious

Rather saturated I realise, but it seemed fitting.

I am trying to get out and take more pictures on a regular basis. Need to find some indoors spaces and people who are willing...

@ COOP- I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that it took me a second to notice the nude model in your picture. The first thought was "Ooh, glow in the dark! That is so... OH! Wait!"

    Real Soda

Taken at my favorite beer specialty shop, Full Throttle Bottles.

    chair

I moved into my apartment in January. It's not that dramatic a change is it's literally directly above my old place, but I chucked so much crap and bought new furniture here and there, so I keep noticing odd little changes in the light and "props", which makes me get out my camera and, well... chair!
  8.  (7334.18)
@ Chris - I like the chair shot.

My hands are not steady, and shake a bit. This keeps me bound to shoot things at a high ISO and shutterspeed. With most of my photographs, I have to tweak and pull out the aesthetic that my brain saw when I took the image, even if not terribly under-lit and grainy. The comic strip itself is sepia-colored, which worked to my advantage.

(The Night Owls themselves made an appearance at a book signing by the Timony Twins at Rocketship.)

    The Night Owls

I could have been more subtle with the hair curl, I suppose. I may crop away the left side a bit.

Mostly Japan, strangely enough. Much easier to do now than when I started collecting, in pre-internet times before the glacier receded.

I see you have been to Nagano - I'm going back there in the fall.
