Alright, so snow has finally hit my end of Canada which means that as far as I'm concerned, winter is here and red-suited fat bastards will be soon wandering around with their "I fought in the war and now I'm doing THIS?" alcohol-induced depression and desperate teenagers in green tights will be acting like they give a damn about the happiness of children. And since Halloween I (and I imagine the rest of you) have heard the same god damned Bing Crosby song over and over followed by horrible singers that can only make a living by putting out Christmas albums to drone away in stores. They are played to the point where it's turned in to a game to see if either the staff or customers will be the first ones to finally go insane and kill someone.
So this got me thinking...well...are there any good holiday-themed songs out there? Not just Christmas, because that would be an eternal nightmare, but the other holidays as well as the general winter season. Something that goes well with walking on a snowy street or shoveling the god damned 10 foot high snow pile in your driveway. Also, I'd like to hear new music since the only thing really holiday related I own is Patrick Stewart reading a Christmas Carol and since I don't want to have fits of orgasmic convulsions every time I listen to the rich, powerful voice that I fell in love with when I first watched I, Claudius, some alternatives would be great.
So I've started another 8tracks account. Upload your music, save it, keep doing that until a mix is done and then move on to the next one.
